I am going to be in Denver this week.
Other than checking Pin Map what are the good locations to play some pinball in Denver?

    #2 2 years ago

On the south side of town is Pindustry. Mostly new pinball games, but with some classic arcade games.

Interesting place with a nice rooftop bar. It's west of I-25 on Arapahoe.

The showdown website has a good list of locations in Colorado.

In Denver go to the 1up and the best place in Colorado is Lyons Pinball.

30 machines at 1up Greenwood, what area of town will you be around?

    Westminster Area.

Honestly, avoid Pindustry, go to Greenwood instead if you're in the area. I have not gone a single time, including opening week and literally yesterday, without machines being in various states of serious disrepair and none of the workers caring.

Since you're that far north, consider checking out Tilt in Louisville?

Great selection of games there it looks like. Thanks!

That looks like a perfect spot for me to hit one night!

Games are in Great shape. All the new sterns, some American pinball. They have good boneless wings and burgers. Outdoor seating. Putt putt golf, ping pong. I liked it last night! Not far from you.

Our daughter is up at CU Boulder. My wife and I love going to Wonderland Brewing and Tilt when we are visiting the area.

If you head out west into the mountains, CO.bar in Frisco is a great location too!

…but there are a lot of other fun pinball venues around Denver too. Great pinball town!

    #12 2 years ago

All of these are great recommendations. I might be biased to wonderland but also would throw out:
    some place else in Arvada
    mad rabbit
    Lyons classic
    Tilt
    1up

Just spent the last week in Denver at the CBC show and saw lots of places to play on Pinball Map. Unfortunately we did not have a moment to visit any locations. Denver is a great pinball town.

    #14 2 years ago

    1up is a must visit.

I haven't made it to the others yet as I 1up had some insane food.

    #15 2 years ago

1up is good. Agreed. Go to the Colfax one of you can only hit up one of them. Tilt and Lyons are also very good. More variety of games at those two, with older games and newer. Check the hours at Lyons before you go...I travel a lot to Denver area and usually stay close to the 1up Greenwood, so I play there the most. But where you are gonna be, check out the above mentioned closest to you. You will be happy!

    #16 2 years ago

Damn... We must have gotten lucky with the timing.
That's a shame. Thanks for the heads up.

Damn.... I had not heard of this place, but sounds like it's time for a road trip! Thanks for the tip!!

Didn't Lyons Classic close? I seem to remember reading their "goodbye" letter last year and being depressed.

What specific problems with which specific games? I was there last Friday and while LZ has an issue with the electric magic mech, the rest of the games were playing just fine.

I hit Tilt for my first night tonight.

Good selection of machines. All played well. Wished they were turned up a little more. Had Pizza and beer. Pretty cool vibe.
I crushed Ghostbuster higher than I ever gotten before.

JJ potc was a little tired but showed well..

Westminster is close to Greenwood 1up..

If you go to 1up make sure you get a Denver Taco & the Chicken Wings.

If I open myspace Greenwood's 1up is up there with Logans as main influence.
Though got nod to Doc here in STL for Silverballroom to.

    Last night I hit Pindustry.

    Quoted from kciaccio:

    How was it?

    #30 2 years ago

Well, let just say Pindustry name has no relation to Pinball....More like for bowling pins.

With that said they have your standard row of new Stern pins, one GNR JJP game and One Mars attack remake form CGC...Mando, Jurassic and Munsters would not coin up with their card only system they use. I mostly played Elvira. The other titles are mostly pro models. Pinball really does not seem to be the main focus of this place. They played alright...GNR already looks a little tired.Seems to be the norm for these which is weird since it such a new game.

I was practically the only one playing pinball which I guess is a plus? Like all places I have gone to in Colorado the volume is turned down so low I can barely hear the pin...

Out of the 3 places I have been to so far this is in 3rd place.
