Holy shit, do I see a TX-Sector and a Banzai Run in there?

Quoted from tfduda:Various machines from that era had a plastic cover on the coin slide (in a few different colors--have seen some in hues of reds and blues). I assume that they might have been used for other coin op items too.
I think the slides with the plastic are a special "feather touch" model that was supposed to be superior to other models of slides at the time. Not sure why they had the plastic covering, but perhaps the plastic is part of the feather touch aspect or perhaps it was used to distinguish them from other models.
It could very well be that the fact that it was plastic alone made it a 'deluxe' or indeed 'feather touch' version. Plastic was quite the thing, back in the day.
Quoted from Pintopia:I have to say I really like the creative engineering. I’m thing that actually would play well and more in line with playing soccer (football) as known everywhere but here
The creative engineering looks ok, but I'm afraid gameplay will suck. Part of Striker's gameplay is based on passing the ball from one side of the playfield to the other to get past a defender. This strategic aspect has completely gone to waste in this hacked setup.
Quoted from Knxwledge:Worth taking home such a rare game despite the condition.
Definitely! Even if you had to build a new cabinet for it. As long as it's complete on the inside.
Quoted from Haymaker:Apparently this is a giant horde of stuff in Zimbabwe of all places. I wonder what the story is here. Regardless, its pretty mind blowing!
Good lord... The Gottlieb Spirit on that graveyard. Hurts my soul.
Wonder what the story behind this video is!
Quoted from Mathazar:If you open the video on YouTube, you can get a general story in the video description.
Cheers, just read it. That's so amazingly sad in so many ways.
My guess is that these machines were operated in France before ending up here. A big pinball country in general and they always had many Gottliebs. Rare titles like Spirit, Punk and Striker used to be a lot less rare over there.
Found for sale locally. Not quite sure what we're looking at here, but it seems like an Elektra was sacrificed for it.

Quoted from gdonovan:actually looks pretty good.
'Good looking' wouldn't be the term I'd choose. But... yes, for what it is, it looks quite well done.
