I picked up a picked trough Tri Zone for parts. The light board in the head was waterlogged and falling apart. The back glass is in bad shape as well. The cabinet is in good shape and hopefully someone will use it.

Quoted from fanuminski:

Just picked up a Gottlieb Flying Carpet - looks like the transformer was replaced (for some reason)
and they didn't have any electrical tape. Fiber tape to the rescue!
[quoted image]

It is totally unheard of to just unsolder a dead transformer and correctly solder in a replacement. I hope that they did not cut the wires too short to re-connect them directly to the transformer.

Is that a snake's egg shell inside of the coin door?

That will buff right out.

Think I buffed to hard.

I have had to get rid of a few cabinets that were just too far gone as well. I wish that I had the time to make stencils of the artwork before they went to the dump.

Quoted from Azfalconfixer:

Repairing the bottom of a Lost World. Love the 70's paneling.
[quoted image][quoted image]

I have plenty of this paneling in my basement that will be demoed this summer. Please let me know if you need any for a future repair.

Quoted from ForceFlow:

What a shame.

Yeah, probably a few hundred in parts there, once you see past the rotting wood.

And, the owner of the shed would probably pay you to haul their "junk"!
