So….I have not really been keeping track of the crazy that has been rolling thru the door the last few years but this one just pissed me off.
I grab boards on the cheap when I can either for repair or parts if I don’t think they can be saved. This one was just because I didn’t have a spare wpc95 mpu laying around so I thought what the hell. It came in with 5 jumpers run across the back of the board and 3 chips “redone”. Well I pulled all the jumpers, replaced the empty u20, and checked all the chips. they reflowed all the pins on the ASIC socket and I didn’t trust them so I pulled the socket……
