Not a pinball horror story , Just the most burnt black and melted coil i've ever seen ,
Fixed a guys williams Jackpot the other day ,
The kids were playing it , no adults in the room , One kid came out and said to the owner , The pinball machine is on FIRE!.
The owner raced in and the room was full of smoke , no fire luckily. owner turned game off at the wall . The fuse was blown when i went over to repair the game .
This was the step up coil from the Match unit ...
Quoted from kursiv:My Medusa's dirty mind.
Is That Fire Damage or Just thick dust ?
Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:A few "belt sanded" games from the archives.
I had to stop, as there are hundreds.
Scrolling through them is like slow torture ,
Wish id taken a shot of a Pinball Pool I wrecked, that had about 25% of the paint left.
Im crying with laughter from those Zenon pics . The first one looks cross eyed too...
What a shame. At least some of the parts look okay .
Are huge pieces of backglass art laying on the table??
It could be "Curly" , it looks very curly .
Quoted from girloveswaffles:LOL. the card on the apron says "Pinball Rescue".
That game is in Australia.
I was asked to "have a look at fixing this " , no thanks , I heard its sat in a shed for 18 years , Probably with battery leaking still ,
As you all should know it takes hours and hours to get a machine working, that's in such bad shape.
It would at least need a new or rebuilt mpu and power supply
It might have new 'pinball Rescue' plastics and they would be the best thing on it .
No offence to Pinball Rescue as they make quality Plastic sets etc .
Looks like they painted planets near the out lanes too
Quoted from bicyclenut:is this from your space shuttle?
Bally/Stern from the looks of it , battery date code 7836. 36th week of 1978.
id be changing it, as it expired about 39 years ago!
Quoted from uncivil_engineer:Well then this should leave you terrified...
Quoted from Rob_G:I've seen worse... In fact I have pictures!
A south park from about 16 years ago. I believe it was eventually fixed.
That's more like a explosion . I can't believe they fixed that . Unless a new board 'fixed' it .
Quoted from ForceFlow:That's just a rust-colored powder coat.
I wish it was , but I'm putting another door, coin insert etc , won't be new parts either. as they would distract from the rest of the 'patina' throughout the game . joking I'm getting this fixed for someone and he doesn't want it restored , just working and some new flipper parts etc . The playfield is great on this, just the cab and metalwork are a bit sad .
Quoted from cottonm4:That's a nice play field. If I had a Meteor that needed a play field, well, here it is.
Damn I need one too , looks to be better than both my original and a spare I was intending to touch up and use in the resto , its even got half the lights left in it aaaah
I have one of the 430 odd LAI/Sterns Meteors built here in Perth , Silkscreen cab art . sweet .
It's the one game I remember seeing at almost every pinnie parlour circa 1980. , is the table for sale? , I don't need the legs either

Aussie Meteor Art at top compared to US cabs
Quoted from Pinballer22:Not horrible but thought it was funny!

Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Stolen from herbertbsharp off his Facebook.
Original Caption:
“Of all the beautiful things I've seen in Paris, today's find will have me waking up in the middle of the night screaming, for years to come.”[quoted image]
And 2 lock down bars used on this , and we all know how hard these are to find
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:I could certainly use that Williams back door, and the saying is funny too!
It's from a Gottlieb Wedge head . The camera angle makes it look square ,
It's priced at $100 aussie dollars
