Quoted from woz:

This Big Brave playfield was on CL here a few months ago as having a nice patina!

The american pickers guys would have loved this one. They love patina.

A lot of these pics are overseas warehouses. Then they wonder why the containers coming over now days are garbage. All the good stuff is cherry picked that that's all that's left anymore. A lot of that really bad stuff are bingo machines, which are really garbage anyway, and the stuff TNT threw off the roof. the good stuff was salvaged, and what was left was garbage. Most of the games deserved to be thrown from a roof anyway. i cannot see SF2 fly off a roof enough times. Makes me giggle every time I watch it.

indeed, looks like it was a damn nice cabinet. I'd still give someone $100 for that if it's complete.

Abandoned Arcade warehouse ( pinballs starts at 8:00 )

how is this a horror clip? this is a dream clip. Thats what most of us dream of finding and buying the entire building.

#136 8 years ago

Again another honey hole. Honey holes are not horror stories. They are wet dreams for those of us that know what to do with a warehouse full of games.

a lot of that stuff i'd haul away for free just to salvage for parts. but wouldn't pay money for most of it. The nicer stuff maybe $25 or so.

that austin powers machine is awesome. I want it.

that SC was found like 5 or 6 years ago. I remember watching the thread when it was found and being brought back to life. Awesome find. That was like finding buried treasure.

This popped up on a thread about getting some used EATPM ramps. The guy was parting it out.

This is what happens when you never wipe down the playfield.

Ouch, that looks like it did a shitton of damage. The pins might have survived but the amount of damage to the room had to be astronomical.

This should have been Atlantis!

0012-Underwater-Popeye-pinball.jpg

No it should not have, why waste a good game? Should have been a Shit Tales.

#246 8 years ago
Quoted from Star_Gazer:

Atlantis...the underwater city, you know...it's a joke

I know, it was just blasphemy to even suggest such things. Unless you were refering to the EM, then it's ok.

#252 8 years ago

that's what I do if I have the scan on file. Which I do most of the time.

Quoted from aeneas:

Getaway that was in a fire. All plastics have damage. Not many useable parts left here
And a bit of novus won't do to clean everything

I think that was Eric A's. He was working on that one a couple of years ago.

hey look at that. Stargate saved the day by holding up the entire building. Because Gottlieb system 3's are built like brick shithouses. Built better than anyone else.

#491 7 years ago
Quoted from Taxman:

No, actually they shoved the game in after the collapse started. They did not want to ruin a good 2x4.

if it was a SF2 , i'd say sure. the beam is more valuable than the game. But this is Stargate. It's a top 10 game of all time. Actually the only system 3 that is even close to the top 10. Well, my top 10 anyway.

Quoted from Taxman:

The bucket of water on SF2 is a mod. In case you feel like drowning yourself while playing you can just lean over.
I'm just being funny. Stargate is not one of my favorite games, but after having to play DE Simpsons in a tournament this weekend I dislike it less.
The first picture with Ice Fever, Touchdown and Gold Wings is the worst of that basement bunch. I could not get rid of TD fast enough and actually passed on a free GW because I didn't want to drive an hour each way. The backglass was missing but that actually makes it better.
I'd put SG as #2 with SST as my favorite in that bunch. From those pictures I would say SST has a real good chance of being easily salvageable.

i'm a fan of SST as well. SST is a top 25 for me. Which is unique because there isn't any showcase Segas I care for, beyond that. Golden eye is ok tho.

Not mine, thankfully but here's an X Files

I think this can be said for nearly everyone. No truer words have been spoken.

How is that much mushrooming even possible?!

I run into it a lot. Many times I have to take the grinding wheel and grind off the tip so I can slide it back out the hole.

seems to always be a lot of mushroom tips in pinball.
