Quoted from DennisDodel:

These bingos had been stacked in this basement for over 30 years.

Nice to see they ended up in cool storage instead of the dumpster.

My 90% playable Flash Gordon.....will have a CPR playfield installed

It has an amusement registration sticker on the apron from 2002....that's a lot of love!

here's one of about 5 years ago.. a Fire that had been in a basement that flooded..
Playfield was covered in mud, the coinbox was still filled with water.
But the machine booted and played. Completely cleaned it up.
edit: and yes this was also first cleaned with a garden hose. no kidding.

At first glance I was like, "It was in a fire, then a flood? I don't see any fire damage." Then I realized what pin it was.

Yeah they went "UP" for auction alright

The way the playfield is wrapped in plastic leads me to think this was being done to clean the harness.

It's nothing compared to some of the above horrors, but I had to break the paint seal on the legs of a Gold Ball last night. I was picking the game up for a friend, and the owner had painted the cab, legs on, years ago, and hadn't moved it since. Gotta love interior latex...so versitile!

Looks like someone cleaned the harness in the tub and hung up the wires in the stall to dry. Maybe not the best way to clean it, but not necessarily the worst.

Here's the playfield of a Heavy Metal Meltdown that I went to look at recently. Looks like it literally melted down from all the face melting metal.

That's salvageable. Little ME, naptha, then a bbq lighter.

Owner explained that a screw came off the car so he had to get to it to fix....from the top down. (Disassembles from the bottom). Yes that's putty and black tape holding on the new non fitting plexi piece in place.

I had a game were somebody cut off the screw heads of the side rails, removed them, and in the process, cracked and bent out the sides of the lockbar. I'm guessing they didn't know how to open the game and remove the glass...

RIP Skylab.
Donate your good parts to science, err I mean to restoration specialists.
Parts of you can live on in other machines.

Working rare/very desirable 1963 Bally Star Jet painted over original cabinet paint with black paint, "F*CK", "SH*T", and "P*SS" by GRC/Gameroom Collectibles and cabinet destroyed with a sledge to be parted out.

I ended up picking up the all of the pieces to make it whole again as it didn't deserve to die and finally getting to making some stencils. Only 1,000 made. Only around 26 (including mine, this one) of these accounted for as still alive on the internet so far.

All of the head parts were cut from the harness, only the bottom board remained intact.
