Sold a few games today ...The buyer told me his shippers knew what they were doing.
I was out of town and my wife sent me this picture..... I have a feeling this isn't going to end well.

Wow! Thats crazy! I've been doing it wrong all these years.

When the backbox breaks off will it tear out some wires too? Hope you report back once the buyer receives it.

I will ... If I was home I would not of let this happen.

Got a pair of Williams machines (teachers pet and touchdown) for $300 total. Clearly projects and I am very happy with the great deal and fun ahead. Some really nice extra features though. 1.) teachers pet head snapped off. 2.) on teachers pet instead of boring old pinball glass it has 1/2” (yes that thick) plexiglass, and since it was too thick for the rails and not even cut straight or anything close to right size they went ahead and used some super nice scotch tape to hold her down. 3.) I am kicking myself for not snapping the picture but it had a household light switch very expertly spliced into the power line and nailed (yep nailed) into the opening between the head and cabinet. Obviously no back cover because that would have interfered with the light switch of course.

Hard to tell from only 2 pics, but horrible post (and the standard two broken plastics) or not - I'd gladly snap up a $700 Abra if it were close.

That Abra looks to be located about 10 miles from me. Back glass looks nice.

I have all the pins I need and enough projects to keep me busy for 4-5 years.

Ferris wheel stops working on Hurricane. Easy fix, just screw a rubber post into the middle of the lane.

Disclaimer: this is an old players game so the cracked plastics and planking playfield is not the main horror here.

Spot the issue?

Gonna set a quick high score while there is no left outlane and then pull these two out.

#3112 3 years ago

Definitely not done by an owner op

Considering the theme, it was probably a barn.

Did someone get frustrated with coin mech jams?

#3122 2 years ago
Quoted from ForceFlow:

perhaps the owner op also owned a Laundromat

#3123 2 years ago

At a dollar per game, the op was probably frustrated with the lack of SBA distribution..

In the 70's I remember some EM games had those at one location. I can't remember why.

#3125 2 years ago

A buck a game for 3-ball on an EM?!
That's It!
I'm gonna get me a pinball machine to play at home for free.

As far as that flabby scarred-up 'Well Walker' zombie character with the exposed bowels goes, the fire may have been an improvement.

And on a first/prototype version too. Geez...

Wait until that ESD slide jams or the top cap breaks.

The custom price card says “Ballin’ So Hard” so perhaps you’re onto something! Great way to sack-tap your patrons who get “lost in the zone”!

That made me laugh out loud

A Yukon variant "Jackpot" that has been bastardized.

You know if your going to go to all that trouble you think they would have popped a few bucks for new lane guides and popper caps.

#3137 2 years ago

Sad... very sad. Stored "in a barn" near me.

Wurd. Because it looks like they put quite a bit of effort into that. And I'd probably do the same if I had a working game but the art was toast beyond salvaging... Though perhaps with a bit more 'class'

If it’s cheap enough I just consider it a rainy day project.

I was going to post this in the morning but got busy.

Can appreciate the effort that went into doing it, horrified as a Data East collector.
