Was waiting for that. My buddy sent me this yesterday, I was laughing my ass off for 5 minutes straight. For those who didn’t see it, just scroll down through the “Captions” chrono under the “Description” section.

HAHAHAHAHA!

I love the code in 2020 remark....hahaha

Bought a Star Wars Trilogy that had been left on a barn floor for 5 years, the bottom had disintegrated and the transformer hanging out. Needed a total overhaul and used a cabinet from another machine to refurb it back to great confition.

Count yourself among the lucky, Dude. I had a friend of mine come across a few machines like that only to discover they were not just rotten, but infested with termites.

#1456 5 years ago

I picked up a picked trough Tri Zone for parts. The light board in the head was waterlogged and falling apart. The back glass is in bad shape as well. The cabinet is in good shape and hopefully someone will use it.

I saw this on FB here locally. You can almost smell it through the picture.

Buy it anyway and use the playfield as a wall hanger

I’ll take the boards out of it for mine sitting out in the garage!! Bought it for my nephew...a year ago. Guy said it worked, and he was FOS. PSB was crapped out.

It actually has a real screened BG, so I would grab that one out there just to hang that on the wall.

Look at the bottom two corners - the back box is broken

You can’t let that pin suffer anymore

The real question.
What's he asking for it?

#1464 5 years ago

For all of you who are interested, here is a link to the ad: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2009528995734728/

They are asking $300 for it, and it is over on the coast in Ventura.

#1465 5 years ago

I have 2 CF home versions that I would sell for $400 for the 2. One works the other has something wrong with it I can't remember what. I had the working one in the game room being played for awhile.

That's hilarious! I would balk at anything over $25, and that's if the backglass is actually ok.

I came across an Alive similar to that many years ago. I paid the guy a 20, I think i felt bad for the guy who had it. It had droppings and was pretty bad. I ended up trading it for a old stuffed animal monkey. I got the better end of the deal and def one of the crazier trades I’ve engaged in lol

Good thing for tempered glass.

Cleanup is a pain, though.

Plus that's a non-standard sized sheet of glass. I ended up going to a glass shop to have that size made.

Not saying it isn't. Just thinking that regular glass would be so much worse.

How did the glass in your Big Game get broken?

Putting the lock bar down after freeing a stuck ball. The glass was chipped near where the lock bar teeth are. I think the glass was not pushed all the way back into the far channel allowing the bar to strike the glass.

I have heard people say "temepered glass can't be chipped, if it has a chip, its not tempered". That statement is bullshit. I think the chip severly compromised the glass tho allowing something as tame as a lock bar tooth strike shatters it.

I've had glass with a little chip but not shattered before. Guess it just depends where/how sometimes...

No matter what though, that really sucks man

#1476 5 years ago

I’ve also had tempered glass with chips in it before. It can happen.

It looks like an oversized Hallmark Christmas Tree ornament.

I think I may run some blue painter's masking tape on the ends on my play field glass as some small bit of protection.

I was at a job and the guy I was with was drilling holes for deadbolts and I was behind installing and the tip of the bit he was using touched to edge of the dual pane tempered glass window. Instead of shattering it started cracking and kept cracking for about 10 minutes. After it finally stopped cracking it finally fell in the floor in a big pile. What a mess.

they offered the slo-blow protection that you needed.

I believe doublemint is slow blow, juicy fruit is fast blow, and big red is like 50 amps.

It was a joke. That game is on location somewhere. The guy who posted it lives near me and occasionally plays in our tournaments. He's pretty funny and always cracking jokes.

One evening last month I had just negotiated the purchase of this FG. The seller called me back a few minutes later, said I was so cool to deal with he decided to put new leg levelers on it and in the process he managed to tip the pin over. I still bought it, at a discount needless to say. Felt bad for the guy, he was pretty distraught over it at the time.
