Not a bad way to go if you're a bug that is into pinball.

If that was the one destroyed by disc jockeys, it looked like it was brand new.

Opie takes a sledgehammer to Classic Pinball.com's vintage rolling stones pinball, (not their game) back in 2000 ( long time ago)
Al Dukes duped me into loaning it to them,
this is how that worked out.
That's the real story. All in all, the guys were cool about it, and I was taken good care of.
Quoted from The_Director:Here's the way I found my Seawitch in a warehouse. Yes, it's laying down like that on the floor. Luckily, the water damage only destroyed the back panel, which won't be a hard replace. The playfield on this is surprisingly nice and the backglass was found dirty but in good shape in another room of the warehouse, its currently in my queue for refurbishment. Had to post something that has a somewhat pleasant ending on this thread, my heart is heavy with some of these photos.

I can only imagine what the board looked like. Statue of liberty.

how is this a horror clip? this is a dream clip. Thats what most of us dream of finding and buying the entire building.

Is it really fair to post your own, man?

Look like all these machine are slowly rusting away...i hope that the owner sold all his stuff.

I agree with Neo. I don't call it a horror story....I call it a gold mine

With all the board work you have, by the time you do, you'll be in the twilight zone.
Picked up this beauty not working from a bar fire.

Quoted from thedefog:That is just amazing. Who in their right mind would try to sell that? May as well put a bag of dog crap up for sale. That PF looks diseased. I'd be afraid to touch it.
Hey, I remember seeing a post of someone selling a packman corn chip. It was a Tostito chip with a triangle piece broken out of it making the chip look like Pacman. Someone actually bid on it

How much would you sell that for

Anyone see this and think it would be fun to go through? I've brought back a number of completely dead, glass left off, kind of machines, but nothing like that. Granted it will take an inordinate amount of time to bring it back, but would love to do a project of that magnitude.

With as in depth and complex as TZ is, it was kind of interesting seeing this pic that obscured all the art. I never noticed how open the middle of the playfield is until seeing in this light.

Look like she is still shining under that layer of dust.
Quoted from dothedoo:Theatre of Tragic
Yes it's a Theatre of Tragic soon to be magic again
Quoted from Vreuls:I found this bally vampire in a very wet basement,it has been there for many years
That sucks.
I didnt see this posted so ill leave this here...

The day that Papa headquarters flooded and over 200 pins were destroyed. Definitely a horrible day for pinball :*(
Again another honey hole. Honey holes are not horror stories. They are wet dreams for those of us that know what to do with a warehouse full of games.

Not sure if this is a honey hole. Building is set to be demolished and the owner said he would only sell if God told him to. Not kidding....
So we got a week or so before they are flattened. You could smell the place from the outside.
Edit: a little more to the story.
So the guy is obviously a huge hoarder. He has actually gotten so bad he lives in a shack in the back. He has lost his mind completely. I am going back again tomorrow and try to reason with him. He is a hard person to find. Most the time he doesn't answer his shack door.
Quoted from futurepinhead:the owner said he would only sell if God told him to. Not kidding....
Go to his shack in the middle of the night and with a deep voice yell "SELL EVERYTHING, SELL EVERYTHING NOW!", then get out of there. Something like Marty McFly did in Back to the Future to his dad.

Its so crazy it just might work! Hahaha

that's not terribly sad, it's from 2001. Most of those games are probably in collector's homes right now.
Quoted from futurepinhead:Found today
I sent my friend who is better at dealing with this sort of thing. He sent me a smiley face and said it went well. He couldn't talk about it at the moment but I will let you know what happened with his meeting with him when I find out.
