Quoted from ForceFlow:

Mold is serious. I wouldn't touch it. I can't imagine what it must look like on the inside of the cabinet.
Plus, there are some serious cosmetic issues, not to mention that the mold has probably damaged the artwork beyond that.
For what it is, the price ($385, I think it was?) is bonkers.
If you want that particular title, there are plenty to choose from. If you just want a cheap project pin, there are others to be had.

Yeah there is one close by for $700. May just bite the bullet and pay extra for that one to play it safe.

Nothing terrible, but this RFM is at a local bar and completely filthy
I've never seen anyone play it, and can't find any info on the op to try buying it from them.

It may be pretty pristine under all of that dirt. I have shopped a couple like that and they were nice underneath luckily.

Yep, I've cleaned up many grimy playfields which ended up being quite nice underneath. Grime is temporary, wear is not.

Depending on the condition, it may be the better option.

However, I would not pay $700 for that title with a flaking backglass, bad wear or bad touch-ups, or in a non-working state.

Does this count as a pinball horror pic? I bought an empty Data East Rocky and bullwinkle cabinet and didn't think much this until I got it home. I thought that black housing went over this at first glance, more I looked at it I realized it was a hack.

That paint job on rocky and bullwinkle is horror enough. I don't understand why anyone would do the launch button like that.....

I think the original housing got busted and only recently was there a way to get the replacement. This game came out of Hungary so they got creative in keeping the game on route.

Its funny, one side is painted with touch up and the other is decently nice. Guess they got tired of trying to paint it half way through

Make a nice greenhouse....

Looks like someone stripped it for parts....all the players, nets, score displays, and coin door parts are gone. It's probably just an empty shell, but if the dome and handles are still in good shape, those may be desirable to someone.

Quoted from jasonp:

Looks like the dome isn't in great shape, oh well.

#562 2 years ago

Just put some Novus on it, and buff it out. Bring that dome back to life.

...or use it as a little green house for starter plants and veggies.

Suppose whoever owned this chose the 'Mylar is optional, not mandatory' route?

I thing so and I have not seen something like this lively before. Finally we have bought it so I hope we find the solution how to resolve it. I have also made a topic so please let me know if somebody knows.

Yesterday´s hell..

I met a new pinball guy because a friend was delivering a Gorgar to his (new, it looked like) house.

He had a Space Shuttle with a WORSE playfield than that. Told me he paid $1,200. Felt bad for him although his basement was like the Taj Mahal so it probably didn't hurt his wallet too bad. Space Shuttle is a fun game but it's one of those games right in the middle where condition either makes it pricey or a total steal for under $500-600.

That's the second Big lebowski to take a dump and get destroyed in getting delivered.
This game is cursed in the delivery process to US soil. The other was a buddy of mine in Low Angeles, White glove delivery service dropped it within inches of front door.

Curious what various methods people take to pack machines, (EM's)? Light box removed and glass in place or packed separately?

Surely it's actually harder to cut those things than unplug them?

Yikes!
That is reason I only use lithium batteries in my games. Eventually I'd like to go battery free, but I don't have that kind of free time right now to do the project on 26 pins.
