Quoted from Roostking:

And 707 HP out of a bad ass Dodge Challenger, stock!!! Cant wait to have one of those bad boys in my garage!

Not much of an american car fan. Had way too many and they just fall apart in < 50k miles. I had a C6 Z51 then a C6 Z06 and they literally disintegrated. The Z51 was a nightmare to own as was the Z06. Fast as hell but only when they are on the road. Not that fast on the lift..

I switched to German and Italian. German cars are fast, reliable, and easy to work on. Italian cars are fast and make you just shiver while driving but are about as reliable as a yugo.

You do know the Yugo was a copy of a Fiat don't you?

#153 9 years ago

A poor copy and the fiat was shit too

I know the place is called the "Pinball Hall of Fame" but it's not really a "hall of fame" if it was it would just look like the top 100 list on IPDB or Pinside...

what it is, is a giant place full of machines, most of which are playable (some issues when I went but hellloooooo, it's pinball, you look at it the wrong way and they break)

nothing wrong with it, was a fun place and I would definitely go back next time I am in LV

Seinfeld can be so much fun. Just stick in almost any quote of the series, design a fun lay out and toys. Cant go wrong.

Its moops !

That was a Typo. George should have let the Bubble Boy win.

Quoted from Pinchroma:

Oh the car had power for its time. Today stock its less juiced than a honda accord (210hp) It's just that it was a rattle box. Hell even the fox body cobra has only 230 hp

No. That thing had way more power than the numbers given. 0-60 times were about 5 seconds and 1/4 mi times were low 13's. Stock.

Horsepower numbers might be higher now, but most cars really aren't THAT much faster these days.

German cars are way over-engineered and are extremely expensive to fix. Italian cars break down just as much as anything else. I've driven/owned 3 BMW's, 4 Mercedes, 2 Alfa's, and a few british sports cars. They all have parts that fail. No one brand has stayed operational for a longer, more noticeable period of time than the others.

Far and away, the easiest ones to fix, are my Mustangs and my Crown Vic(also former highway patrol).

Exactly. $1200 for a brake job on a 325 I, no thanks. With regular maintenance any car will last a long long time. Sure there are lemons, but for the most part American cars are just as reliable and long lasting as any car out there.

Corvette interiors are known to be crap anyways. 707 HP Hellcat Challger for $60,000, yes please!

I like cool cars. Own two domestic and one German. The funny thing about exotic cars is they require you pay a lot of money every 10k miles for mandatory service. Change all fluids, filters, check all systems etc. Now if everyone paid for that type of service on American cars they would probably be more reliable. The only problem with domestic cars is they've really lacked killer luxury cars. Cadillacs were shrunk down and look like an angular mess, IMO. I don't know any American luxury car that can stand up to the foreign cars.

My little blown 1999 FRC Corvette has 600 hp and will kick the shit out of most things foreign or domestic. Your 707 hp challenger is still a pig when it comes to weight and will not stand a chance. Oh, and I have owned 3 fox bodied mustangs and all of them were pigs that ran out of power at 4500-5000 rpms. They were fun but had no top end.

I don't own a challenger. You're talking shit to the wrong guy

#163 9 years ago

Now this thread has really gone off topic. I thought it was bad when the focus was on the Mustang pinball game. Now it's a motorhead discussion.

Over and out.

#164 9 years ago

The second commandment of pinball - once you're done talking about or playing pinball, go ahead and talk about boobs, peeling rubber and rockin' out.

#165 9 years ago

I was at the PHOF this month and I'll say this- there was no shortage of people there every time I arrived, probably more so than I've seen in past years when I visited. Tim has no shortage of business for sure.

Machines seemed to need more work/had more problems than past visits, appeared to me that Tim has his hands full keeping everything up and running and could use more help.

I too was hoping that there would be a Mustang machine there, I just wanted to put some time on one to see if I'd like it.

I also noticed that 24 and CSI were gone, not sure if he moved them to a new location (RIO?).

#166 9 years ago

I go there every year! and when I am there , the time flies by! Next visit..........coming soon! whether they have Mustang or not! If anyone in Florida wants to play one , there is one in Fruitland Park!!!!

Not really. An EM named Humpty Dumpty was probably the singlemost important pin before the Addams Family. That doesn't mean it will ever end up in the top 100, but it's definately a HOF worthy machine.

#168 9 years ago

By the way, Tim also has about 20-30 games at the Riviera Casino on the Strip. There is a sign saying the Pinball Hall Of Fame as well. I think it was put in there to boost some traffic flow through the Riviera which is on the slower side of the Strip...

oh my gosh you can modify a corvette to be faster than a stock challenger?? someone should tell somebody.

#170 9 years ago

I visited PHOF 2 weeks ago. Had a great time. Talked to Tim and he mentioned not getting Mustang. I told him I found the game quite interesting and fun to play. I still think Mustang will be the next IM. In about 3 to 4 years more people will have discovered it and realize what fun it is.

I just published a travel report including my Vegas visit: http://www.pinball-magazine.com/?p=2153

I guess if the guy thinks the 199 MPH of the Hellcat is "No Top End" then he has a beast and I guarantee hes got over $60,000 in his Vette. Lets not even talk about the interior on a 99! Anyway, not dogging other cars, but there is a new king in town, and he wears 707 HP and 650 ft pounds of torque off the showroom floor!~

And for about 1/2 of the price, one could build a crate motored cobra replicate that would rip the paint off a Corvette.

I'm guessing it would edge the corvette out...in a straight line only.

There would be no "edging out". The Corvette would look like a pinto by comparison. Those Cobras handle quite well as well. They are no Lotus, but probably outhandle the Corvette.

I thought we were talking about Mustangs!

#177 9 years ago

Yep the Cobra will rip the corvette. I have one sitting in the garage with a 460 big block 550 HP ford crate motor. Painted screaming yellow. Makes me smile every time a drive it. That being said Mustang arrived in my basement and I had some time to play it. After one night of playing I think that the music will be changed to more my style. Some call outs are bad others ok. Not sure why all the hate about this pinball. Granted its not Metallica Pro but its fun. I think that it will see lots of use when people that are not complete pinheads come over. It's one of those games that I think is simple enough that I can figure it out. Seems pretty straight forward that way. Some of the recent games rules are so deep that I don't know that I will ever figure them out. Which to a casual player (like me)is a drawback. It's kinda like some of those xbox games. I only have an hour here and there to play and every time I play I forgot what I learned the last time. So this might be a game that gets played more than I realize because I think I can figure out what I need to do.

yeah? how's the warranty on that? anyone can strap together a rocket sled but it is almost unprecedented for a stock production car with all the safety features / warranty / amenities / support / testing etc that that entails to come out north of 700hp.

#179 9 years ago
Quoted from pezpunk:

C'mon, real gearheads don't want warranties; they void them.

Not on the first car Dodge or any manufacturer has supercharged. Plus the PCM is so locked down, you wont be able to do any tuning for at least a year or more, if past history is any indication.

I have to agree with Tim,

Although I only played Mustang once or twice, I walked away unimpressed. Besides Tim has so many great machines that he hasn't put on the floor yet and as of the last time I was there floor space was getting hard to find.

BTW, The first time I was in the new space, it was almost totally empty. I was in LV for business, and ended up staying there for hours, setting up machines. It's come a long way since then. Especially the front windows.

#183 9 years ago

Finally saw a new Mustang on the road. Sorry, I don't like the looks of it at all. Give me a 2014.

#184 9 years ago

Anyone know if Tim is passing on TWD also?

#185 9 years ago

Yes Tim is definitely passing on Walking Dead. He does not want games that celebrate guns and violence. His words. He doesn't like how everyone on the side art is holding a weapon. It's not his style.

#186 9 years ago

3 months old. This thread has more staying power than Mustang.

Stop bashing a game you probably played once at best.

#188 9 years ago

I need to try this game. I have heard it is a dud. Was thinking of getting my wife one since she is a big Mustang fan....drives a 2012 Gt Premium convertible. If it is a little rough out of the gate, does anyone think code updates could improve it?

Just an observation that this is about the only thread left talking about it.

It's not that bad. I played the early version at the Chicago autoshow and the finished version at a local barcade.

Quoted from BlackRabbit:

Code wasn't bad to start with and is now up to 1.40 with the Mystery Ford insert now implemented. Mustang is way more fun than TWD.

Quoted from MrBally:

My wife's 2013 GT premium looks way better than the 2015. The 2015 is the first Mustang intended for global sales and designed to appeal more to Europeans than the 2005 to 2014 retro-styling that Americans love. Moray Callum of Scotland is the VP of design, Kemal Curic of Germany is the exterior design manager and Doyle Letson of England the chief designer of global interiors. The 2015 Mustang only got IRS (previously standard only on '99, '01, '03 and '04 SVT Cobra Mustangs) on all models in order to appeal to Europeans.

Right.........

#193 9 years ago

Was gonna say something about T2, T3, Transformers, Nightmare on Elm St., etc not glorifying violence? I have no problem if Tim thinks TWD is too much. It IS too much, and its one of the reasons that I love it. But just saying you have a problem with guns and violence doesn't really hold water when you have lots of things that also have lots of guns and violence.

#194 9 years ago

Arent the weapons used in TWD for defensive purposes, like MOST weapons in private hands?? Lame but his game room.

#195 9 years ago

How about the EM gatling gun game he had restored that is in the PHOF?

Quoted from BlackRabbit:

I bought mine NIB and am really having fun with it both modding and playing. I've done a bunch of mods and they really make the game look great. The 1.40 code makes a big improvement in game play I think.

The girls at the chicken ranch weren't as expected either... WTF!!!
Good point, and I certainly have had a ton of fun here.

The Chicken Ranch has been closed for yrs.

#198 9 years ago

Slightly OT,

I just played Walking Dead. I liked it, seemed like a bit of a throw back to simpler, less cluttered play fields. It's open, with descent shots and toys.

I only played one game, so I can't speak to the rule set.

I don't really care for the cabinet art either, but it is the theme. I HATE the bold AMC logo all over it.
