This is pretty close to Vegas and looks like a cool place to stay if you dont mind being 22 stories underground. https://gccaverns.com/rooms-packages/the-grand-canyon-caverns-cavern-motel-room/ .... If you go to the Pin Museum ask for Tim hes a real people person who will chat all day with you if you have the time.

Unless this is sarcasm, this couldn't be farther from truth

I love it that Ellis Island got mentioned twice. One time I was down there for work for like 2 months and we stayed in the World's Largest Super 8 which is the hotel for the Ellis I guess. I ate many good and cheap meals there and drank so many beers. There were some good karaoke in the bar there. The Stagedoor Casino up the street is seriously one of the greatest bars I have ever been in.

I have walked from there to the PBHOF from there and it took forever. I like the PBHOF quite a bit. When I was there I really dug Impacto. https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4868

Just the variety of games is enough to warrant a visit. Then decide for yourself if you want to go back!

If you walked from Ellis Island to PHOF, you are a braver man than me. The $6.99 breakfast steak and egg special is the best deal in town. We really like the breakfast skillet too. It's just so much bacon though, but it was good.

The Great Greek is really good too. There's one just south of the strip and another in Henderson. All their food was good and at a very reasonable price.

Check out Planet 14, it's worth the walk.

Uber to PHOF and then walk back, grab some beers at the gas station for the walk. It's fun to watch the planes landing as you're walking.

Atomic Saloon was a great show, from the same company as Absinthe, just way cheaper since it's new

Red rocks is a blast. Take an uber there and back, just meet them and have them drop you off before the line at the main road, otherwise you just sit and wait in line. You can get wifi at the main building, but otherwise there's really no signal out there.

If you like beer, just buy large cans at walgreens and CVS. $3 for 24oz and you're good until you hit the next one while wandering.

Crackhead Mary. Well worth the $20

I went to the PHOF each day I was there when I visited last year. It was fun to see and play the rare games and that alone makes it worth the trip. For me it was frustrating to play many others. Nearly every game I played had some issue that made a significant impact on achieving key aspects of the game. LOTR, MET, Houdini, BOP, and on and on It was fun to see them all and play them all but it might frustrate you. Compared to other great places I've been (Free Gold Watch in San Fran, Gatlinburg Pinball Museum, Ground Kontrol and Quarterworld in Portland, and so on) PHOF didn't compare. I get that Tim does his best but there are far better places to play.

I had a great time too. Spent about 4 hours there. Most of the machines played well with the exception of the slings on TRON that weren't working and the magnet for the ball save on TOTAN wouldn't release. Oh and they took the Bally Skill Roll off the floor. I was really looking forward to playing that one. All in all though, great time. I've wanted a Sega Basketball for years, but couldn't get the wife on board until she played the one here. Now we are thinking about hunting one down.

I made it to the HOF while in town this past weekend and had an absolute blast. I purposely didn't look at their list of titles in depth beforehand, was blown away by all of the high quality EM's there. My girlfriend and I were there from ~12:30 to 5 (and probably would've stayed longer if we hadn't made other plans already). Only problem is I really want to buy a Neptune now, what a gorgeous wedgehead. Will most definitely make it a priority to go back next time I'm in Vegas, hopefully the move to the bigger location on the strip actually happens and all goes well.

This isn't the kind of location you go to to put up high scores on Top 100 machines; it's crowded, loud, games are getting played nonstop and you'll run into a lot of little issues on the more popular titles as a result... but it's unlike anywhere else I've had the chance to go and if you're a fan of EM's especially, it's an awesome way to play a ton of killer games you won't see on location anywhere else.
