The Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club is proud to announce that we have paid off the last of the debt on the original building and land, and the vacant lot next door. Club members gathered at a local ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet restaurant to have a mortgage burning party!
We now own 3 acres of land and a modern efficient 9000 sq ft building free and clear. Both properties are covered by a property tax exemption, so it now costs us just 12 dollars a year in fees to open our doors.
We continue to be all volunteer, so there are no labor costs. We are down to utilities and a couple other small unavoidable costs and a new game from time to time. The rest of the cash flow can be dedicated to our charitable giving to help local social service charities.
Many thanks to all the people who have worked so hard for 8 years to make this happen, and to those who foolishly blow their vacation money playing pinball instead of the slot machines on the strip. See you next trip SUCKERS!

Congratulations Tim. That is great news.

And thanks for being there. Done it twice. I much prefer filling your pins with coins than the casinos.

    Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure most people understand just what the PHOF is really about and how hard you guys work over there. Congrats.

    #4 10 years ago

Congrats on getting so far with the pinball hobby and business. I was there on the first day that you opened Pinball Petes in Ann Arbor back in the 70s and now it sounds like you've gone full circle in the biz. Everything from here on out is just gravy, right? JK: I know it won't be that simple. I hope that I can get from MI to LV sometime in the near future.

Congrats Tim. I really enjoyed my visit their this summer while the family and I spent our vacation in Vegas. I got to finally put some games on the WOZ that you guys have there and that's when I decided that we were needing one in our collection.

    Congratulations Tim!!
What you have accomplished in Vegas is amazing.
Maybe the casinos should hire you since they no clue on paying off debt.
You should have called The Dave Ramsey Show so from the buffet so he could help you yell "Were Debt Free!!"

Actually there are many who know exactly what the PHOF is all about and because of this, they choose not to support the cause.

    #39 10 years ago

Congrats! Been there a couple of times while I was travelling to conventions for work. Had an amazing time, keep up the good work!

    #40 10 years ago

This is good news for the salvation army... I have to preface the next statement with the fact that I think what Tim has built is incredible and any time I visit vegas I'm very happy to plop down $20-$40 to play.

But this news doesn't change how often pins get serviced (only so many hard working hours in the day).

Tim: Any chance you'll ever mentor someone to pass on the knowledge to work on these so the place doesn't have to shutdown when the day comes when you pass on?

    #41 10 years ago

Hope you can restore some more machines with Rick's Restorations on the show American Restoration.

    #42 10 years ago

    Tim,

I have been there twice, to Vegas and of COURSE I went to the PHOF.

I would rather spend a day there, then a casino ! And the fact the money is going to a charity and keeping pins alive is perfect. I met and talked to you once and didn't have a clue you were who you are ! Tim Friggin Arnold ! lol

    I am not worthy.

Congrats, stop in here more often !

    #43 10 years ago

    Pinball where it belongs.
On location. Taking quarters and giving out replays.
    Well done.
    Congrats!

    #47 10 years ago

Congrats. Was there 3 years ago and will be back This December - 13th thru 16th. See you soon

    #48 10 years ago

Congratulations.I made a special effort to visit the PHoF 2 years ago and play some games I've been wanting to try.

Was only in Las Vegas a few days and gave up on the Hoover Dam tour to do it.I'll be back to Vegas and the Phof, - unfinished business.

    #49 10 years ago

I took these photos on 1/15/2006 during the first few days of the initial PHOF opening.

Hard to believe it's been eight years.

    Congrats, Tim.IMG_2001-901.JPGIMG_2001-901.JPGIMG_1996-697.JPGIMG_1996-697.JPGIMG_1998.JPGIMG_1998.JPGIMG_1993.JPGIMG_1993.JPGIMG_1995.JPGIMG_1995.JPG
