    Quoted from jeffgoldstein2:

I had a blast for the most part but was surprised on how many problems I came across

Ahhh, now you see what I'm always telling you guys:

When I had my route, games (especially Williams) were ALWAYS breaking down.

Once a week we went to the Williams distributor in town and picked up our shopping list of ramps, plastics, motors...

And that was when everything was brand new. Fast forward 20 years and think how brittle all of the plastic has become and how old all the caps are.

If only 5% of the games were down, I'd say they are doing pretty good!

    Quoted from BioBa:

That place could be a gold mine if managed better. Especially in Vegas.

If anyone had the ability TO do it, they WOULD do it.

No one else can do it.

    Quoted from Darscot:

The place needs food and a license, to get it out of the 1970s.

Tim said no food because then he has to install larger bathrooms (to code) and fire suppression (to code).

He says no amount of food sales can overcome those costs.

    Quoted from toyotaboy:

He needs a better bathroom in general, but it's basically a closet in a corner (not sure there's room to put a real one even if he wanted to)

As far as fire suppression, that's only if there are burners involved. Subway chains have exploded because they are so cheap to build. No physical heat, it's all cold meat sandwiches (and if you want it toasted, it's a super high powered microwave oven)

Next time you are there, ask Tim about it.

I don't pretend to know the NV building codes, but Tim can recite them like they are his birth date.

He says it's a ton of money for tiny returns and many more yearly inspections.

    Quoted from ichigokurosaki91:

I would like to know if Pinball Hall of Fame allows loud music 'cause when I get there next month, I'm gonna be playing loud music while I play pinball.

Tim does not want to pay $400 a year for an ASCAP license allowing public music.

Every bar, restaurant, and whatnot has to buy a license to have music, jukeboxes or TVs playing for their customers.

It starts at $400 yearly, and goes up depending on the legal occupancy allowed.

Thinks everybody is out to get him.

Can't blame him if he reads any Pinside thread about the PHOF.
