    Quoted from cfh:

if he's selling anything that can't be dispensed from a vending machine, it would require a register with change in it. and people to touch said things. he just doesn't want to deal with it.
how if you could come up with a vending machine that would dispense tshirts, i'm sure he would consider that...

This is a great idea....they do make the machines.

Does Pinball Hall Of Fame host any upcoming special events (officially hosted by Pinball Hall Of Fame) this November? 'Cause I'm looking forward to visit there again

None around that time that I have heard....they did have nationals and a few other tourneys in April of this year.

    Quoted from mystic-:

it looks like about a 2 mile walk from the strip, PHF has a parking lot to park in don't they?

The strip parking came up for going to the New York, New York casino...to play the pins there. Think you missed that part.

PHOF has plenty of parking...never close to filled when I have gone there.

I've noticed that while some of his DMD machines suffer a little (although many work very well), his EM's usually are in excellent condition. So expand your horizons, play some older games instead. The DMD's you will see again somewhere else, the EM's you won't.

This exactly. I'll be seeking out EMs to play my next trip!

Anyone get a chance to see Tims video post on FB the other day? Kinda cool learning a little history about the machines..

Likely headed over later today....anyone want to play some two player games on EMs, let me know

Made it over on Wednesday...was a lot of fun. Luckily able to get a 3-ball multiball on Star Jet the first game.

Old Chicago was pretty brutal...took a handful of games to get a respectable score

And had a lot of fun playing Jumping Jack

Was a great time...so glad I was able to spend time with the EMs on this trip

Overall I had a great time. I visited on Wednesday and Friday last week, both in the early afternoon. It was pretty busy on Wednesday and extremely busy on Friday (I guess people were going there to get away from Black Friday shenanigans). I was playing mainly EMs while I was there....nothing negative to report there.

On Friday I was there with the wife...she wanted to play a few of the modern machines, so we played a few games on AFM. The second game we played...I happened to get a ball stuck on a broken plastic under the main saucer. I attempted to shake it loose a few times before looking for assistance. I flagged down a volunteer and he followed me over to the game. He then tried to shake the machine and after failing to get the ball free....he went on the look out for Beth. Beth returned...and after shaking the machine again....and then lifting the game up from the front about 3 inches and putting it down to no avail...she got the keys out and removed the glass and reached for the ball...and immediately placed between the flippers into the ball trough.

Of course this would only happen on a good game. Not mad since I was able to finish the game....the alternative would have been to turn the machine off and get a refund. It had a ColorDMD and the 3_D translite.

So glad this place remains open for people to enjoy...there were a few EMs that were there previously that must have been cycled out for others...but other than that a lot of fun. On a side note...the 9-10 times I have visited the PHOF since they have moved into their current building, CV has never be operable....and this time it was placed over to the side out of a row where I had usually seen it sit. Maybe one day it will be back...to get my quarters. (I do own one, but love playing them in the wild too).

    Quoted from stevevt:

Why not put the ball in the shooter lane?

My thought, exactly. She did it so quick...I didn't have time to say anything.

    Quoted from Gatecrasher:

Maybe it has something to do with people like the OP of this thread coming on Pinside and trashing the HOF discouraging others from visiting?

From my experience when I was there over Thanksgiving less than a month ago...that kind of statement didn't effect the place. It was alive an crowded
