I just saw this! The new venue is the Schaumburg Renaissance Convention Center!

If you have never been here, you will LOVE this place! Beats the shit out of the Westin!

    Quoted from cavalier88z24:

Expo is wed October 27th - 30th. Room already booked down the street 1.4 miles away at extended stay. It's $75 a night there vs $150 a night at the convention center. But the new place is nice. Theres a video somewhere

Just so you all know, Embassy Suites and Wyndham Garden are all within walking distance of the Renaissance.

    hope this helps.

    Quoted from Methos:

There are a lot of hotels nearby.

Just a warning, the Wyndham Garden is a run down old Sheraton from the 70's. It has seen better days. The Holiday in Express in Rolling Meadows is a total mess. This is the spawn of what used to be a 70's Holidome. Half of the place is being torn down.

    Quoted from Time:

despite all the notices and signage saying they are enforcing this, there is zero physical distancing whatsoever and half the attendees aren't wearing face coverings at all. No one is even pretending the care.
meanwhile the sessions have been back to back coughing, sneezing, and people blowing noses nonstop.
    complete cluster

I didn't see a sign that masks were mandatory? Did I miss something?

    Quoted from Time:

pretty shitty to buy a three day ticket, fly from LA, get the hotel room for the weekend and then have to leave because of the inconsideration of others and lack of enforcement of Expo's own rules. I will go back downstairs and see if the vendor hall is any better later tonight. If not, I'll leave tomorrow.

Wear your mask and worry about yourself. You cannot control anyone else, so why be upset about it? If you were this scared , you should have never come out. You have caused your own anxiety .

Anyone looking for a real good Burger ? M Burger in Aurora is the bomb .I’m guessing a 15-20 min ride from the hotel .I’m going there Saturday for lunch without a doubt !

Try Kuma's Corner in Schaumburg instead or Brandt's Little Cafe in Palatine, both much closer and awesome burgers

This is not a complaint, but it's an eye opener. When you go to the Free play area, count how many games are Rob Berk's and you begin to realize how little amount of games were brought by everyone else. As usual, many of Rob's games work for a few hours and then are half assed or shut off completely. So may of those weird imports were shut off or completely unplayable.

I have to believe that the small amount of games brought by others was directly covid related.
