Quoted from stretch2:Friday at 3:00 P.M. will be interesting.
Tonight at 8pm
Tomorrow at 8:45pm
When other companies announce a machine, it's an event.
When JJP announces a new machine.... the entire pinball world stops to listen.

Quoted from G35R6:Friday will be the first time I've ever attended an event like this.
I don't really understand the speaker events with regards to tickets and the special $60 seminar ticket.
Can I show up Friday, buy a regular admission ticket, and sit in on the seminar at 8:15am?
Does the $60 ticket get you a guaranteed seat at the seminars and then it becomes first-come?
And if so, what's the likelyhood that these are packed?
Thanks. I can't wait to call in sick tomorrow.
In all my years of going to Expo and their seminars, never once has anyone checked for a ticket or wristband. You just walk in and get a seat.
If you are planning on going to JJP's events, I would get there early. The Dialed In and Pirates events were standing room only by the time they started.
Quoted from beelzeboob:...and then walks out when they see it's Dialed In.

THAT'S a memory you plan on holding onto? Yikes.
Quoted from schudel5:This year its different. They have people at every door checking wristbands and lanyards. Just different than years past.
Bummer.
Quoted from beelzeboob:It was something that encapsulated everything that's wrong with this hobby: a bunch of people that prejudge a game within the first five minutes...and miss out on something wonderful because they're impatient and narrow-minded. So yeah...it's stuck with me.
Oh, so it upset you that they didn't give it a fair chance?
Quoted from cavalier88z24:[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Those pictures are great! Keep them coming for the people who can't make it this year (damn eye surgery)
Quoted from littlecammi:None so far. But the deeproot booth hasn't been set up yet.
So you found out they're checking for tickets and now you won't come?
I wish I could be there! I was just letting people know how things worked in the past. I had a vitrectomy (retina reattachment surgery, second one this year) last Thursday, so I have to be face down for a while. My son and I were very excited to attend, but life had other plans.
Quoted from Time:despite all the notices and signage saying they are enforcing this, there is zero physical distancing whatsoever and half the attendees aren't wearing face coverings at all. No one is even pretending the care.
meanwhile the sessions have been back to back coughing, sneezing, and people blowing noses nonstop.
complete cluster
Why not just leave then?
Quoted from kermit24:What are the odds that JJP reveals Toy Story here?
Two seminars scheduled. 8pm tonight and 8:45 tomorrow night.
Would be a real bummer if we don't at least get a tease...
Quoted from vdojaq:Wear your mask and worry about yourself. You cannot control anyone else, so why be upset about it? If you were this scared , you should have never come out. You have caused your own anxiety .
Oh boy. Get yer popcorn ready!
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Where is Cactus Canyon Remake and Chicago Gaming????
I've seen neither yet.
Their seminar is at 3pm today. Maybe they are waiting to put some on the floor?
Let's try to get this thread back on the rails here, people. Plenty of other places to debate masks, mandates, Covid, etc.
Quoted from Hoteldrummer:[quoted image]
The seminar isn't until 8:45 tonight. Why would they put the machine out on the floor before announcing it?
(My guess is *at best* we get some sort of tease, but nothing built yet)
Takeaways from JJP's seminar/Q&A last night:
Don't expect any unlicensed games anytime soon. Could be a red herring, but Pat seemed pretty adamant about unlicensed games just not being a great idea right now.
Jack is just as pissed as everyone else with price gauging going on with CE and LE games. When asked to make more CE games, he said he would if he could.
Steve Ritchie needs his own open mic next year. Dude is a national treasure.
The amount of people they brought on stage seemed like overkill.
Absolutely nothing of substance was talked about (new game? new game tease? more Pirates? playfield issues?)
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:I kind of felt like they put things together a bit last minute, which might have meant they intended to do some reveal or announcement but things just weren’t ready. Someone was joking about the DI reveal earlier, and it may be better to just have a low key, forgettable seminar than a disappointing reveal people remember years later
Maybe they are saving an announcement for next weekend at MGC?
