I haven't seen more recent information than what's been posted already.
I think you are being a little unfair in your math. This is essentially a 50/50 raffle, so it is assumed that around 50% of the money taken in is used toward buying the prizes (in this case 58%). Would be nice if Stern was giving the machines to the charity, but that is not the case.

This is a little harsh. The OP does seem to update on Facebook from time to time including (finally) a kids event at the gameroom. Issues with communication and accounting aside, I see no reason to question their good intentions.
