Quoted from ChiroCop:A gentleman on Pinside posted his shipping manifest awhile back. He ordered an AFMr from his distributor's warehouse. His NIB Pinball machine hit a dozen or more cities/locations before finally arriving at his house. Lots of loading/unloading. No surprise the box looked like it went 7 rounds with Mike Tyson...and consequently had to be put back on the truck...due to damage. Poor guy had to wait several more weeks to get his Pin.
Questions for you experienced guys :
1.) Do you prefer your NIB to be directly shipped from manufacturer? Fewer hands touching it.
2.) Have you ever refused a NIB Pin due to damage?
3.) How much inspection can/do you perform before signing the paperwork?
Delivery truck drivers are pretty fast at pushing a pen and paperwork in front of your face. Your insight is much appreciated by the way. Trying to figure out how much I can push back when the box looks crumpled...and the driver acts like I'm putting him behind schedule.
Are there in distributers in texas? You buy from a local dist and most of these problems should go away as you can pick one up from them.
