There's no brand - people just home brew these. I've made a couple. One was with PVC pipe, which I don't recommend. It's very cheap but it flexes too much. Square aluminum tubing works well. Rigid, lightweight, easy to cut.

If you have an old tripod, that's helpful as a base.

Don't mount or clamp to the game or you'll see a lot of shaking in your video.

Don't mount to the ceiling because you'll have to zoom in and the quality will suffer.

If you want to do EMs or SS games, ideally you want a camera that can take a wide angle lens or you won't be able to record the scores.

    Quoted from darkmiss:

What about such a tripod that they use in drum kits for the cymbals? They are very sturdy.
    Second hand probably pretty affordable.

The folks at PAPA used those and said they were very good.

Has anyone tried PVC piping? Is that a disaster waiting to happen?

I made one like that. It's very cheap but since it's not rigid, it's hard to dial in the camera angle, and it will drift over time. I used kite string to counteract the flex in the overhead beam. The result was pretty janky so I put mexican religious stickers on it for good luck.

Later I lucked upon a tripod so I got rid of the bottom half and just had the PVC for the beam.
