For those just browsing about this game.

I got this (Alien SV) in a package deal with a buddy. I was thinking of the 4 machines, the Alien would be the x-factor. Looked good but rumored to have issues. I can say, of the 4 machines...nothing comes close to the Alien. The other 3?? Rick & Morty, TNA, & PC Multimorphic.

It's time we acknowledge Pinball Bros and the excellent work they are doing in resurrecting Heighway Pinballs baby. I've had a few small issues, but I have those same small issues with ALL manufacturers.

Gameplay: GREAT
Sound/Audio: GREAT
Video: GREAT
Build Quality: Seems damn good.
Durability: Not an A+ but better than expected and PB appears to be very active in resolution.

BUY AN ALIEN. Help this company get over the hump (and yourselves get a great game)

You just need the ball to get a little spin on it. I would go under the scoop and put a washer on the left side, hence pulling the left side down. And forcing it left. I wouldn't be going crazy with pliers trying to get that hood bent like that, although it may work. Full disclosure, I never read the PB instructions.

Quoted from Tsskinne:

My standard has been on location for over 2 months now. Just yesterday it didn't boot on power up for the first time. Pulled playfield out, made sure connections were all tight, put it back in and rebooted and it was fine. Those are about the only issues I have had so far with it. I'm loving it. I just updated to the 2.6 as well and I haven't looked closely at changes, but to me it seems like the insert lighting works better with the update, less flickering and easier to see. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else who updated from 2.4 but yes overall my machine has been far far far more reliable than the heighway version I had several years ago.

I have an SV. I've had a couple minor issues, but mostly it's been rock solid. From the looks of it, Pinball Brothers is being very responsive to issues and communicating with the community. It's a high pressure situation, as everyone is waiting and watching due to the trickle of new machines across ALL companies. I hope they get through this first rough patch of existence. They deserve it. It's not like every other companies machines I've purchased haven't had goofy issues.

Just my 2 cents...
