Can’t ship in winter because of weather and snow , can’t ship in summer because too many mosquitos

#421 3 years ago

Coming to a home near you, Summer 2021.

#431 3 years ago
Quoted from Royale-W-Cheese:

Generators are your best friends. It's crazy here with the rolling black outs. It was 3 degrees this morning.

3 degrees in Texas!? Thats nuts. Maybe Texas is the new michigan BTW where did you get your LV model? Through that guy in that other thread that ripped everyone off or something?

Does anyone have a video of that upper playfield magnet in action? Does it freeze the ball to setup for the ball lock shot?
Thanks

#2728 2 years ago
Quoted from kciaccio:

It took me the whole day to install it but I also changed out the stand up target switches, 4 flipper bats, installed the plastic protectors and upgraded the post in front of the right upper flipper.
To install the playfield protector you have to remove the ramps and plastics. You don't have to touch, post's, zeno, pop bumpers, or sling mechs.
They use this playfield protector on location by me on their machines and they still look like new and been going there for a year.
It just lays down on the playfield no adhesion.
It also helps with the dimpling.
Hope this helps.
[quoted image]

When u say you changed the target switches, what did you switch them to?
Thanks

Quoted from PDX-Mike:

Pre orders are open for the LV on Cointaker website!!

I went for it and pre ordered, although I must say the pop bumper eggs look really weird.

Im also confused where is the display, still in the backbox?

#2957 2 years ago

The beacons kind of look wimpy compared to the original ,but guess better wait to see them in person.

#2974 2 years ago
Quoted from brandonx76:I talked to Melissa (again) just now, she said to not put the $1000 deposit down if you already paid the $1. She is coordinating wait list in order of the initial $1 deposits. Just fyi, as mentioned earlier, Melissa will be processing invoices this weekend for the $1 deposits and notifying folks beginning of next week for the $1000 deposit.
hope this helps a few
cheers

Oh great, I already put the 1.00 and 1000.00 oh well end of the line for me.

#3068 2 years ago

I dont think some of you know how much work Averell has put into the Alien community. He knows things a lot of us dont know. I wouldn't be surprised if some of us come asking for his help later down the road with our pinball bros machines simply because he knows the OG in and out.

Buying an Alien is definitely an adventure from start to finish!

Oh wait.. there is no finish.

Im sure some of you have seen this life size alien queen wall mount but this is my topper once I get a house big enough to mount it on the wall above the pinball machine.
I love this item. Wife didnt even see it for 2 months then one day was "woah what the hell is that!".
W/ two beacons firing off underneath it, will be truly frightening!

#4772 2 years ago
Quoted from Hazoff:

Don't put things on top of ur pin, it just looks ridiculous.

How about underneath ? I wrote before about a mod that punches u in the crotch from under the machine if you dont do a skill shot .

Any takers ? Maybe crazylevi ?

#6048 2 years ago

Im really surprised you guys havent come up with an apron LCD mod for the PB machines?

#6109 2 years ago

I had an LV on order, cancelled it, then reordered it like 1 month later. Melissa said no line jumping but I was still able to get my deposit down

#6348 2 years ago

I know this has been properly answered 100 times, but what is the XV on the box mean?

#6356 2 years ago

So who has the LV post some videos damn it!

#8127 1 year ago

That shot is a pain , I usually Try to feed the ball to the pop bumpers freeze a bit of time and hope it hits that chest burster switch which sometimes it does

#8201 1 year ago
Quoted from Niterider:

Has anyone had their playfield LCD screen stop working?

Are u referring heighway version ? There is no playfield lcd on pinball Bros

Edit Nevermind I forgot about the airlock
Sorry !

Quoted from Boof-Ed:I’ve just had a major Doh! moment. My left flipper started phantom flipping and getting stuck up. I checked the flipper switch gap and was checking all connections and anything else it could have been. Started getting concerned it could be something major going on.
Contacted PB and explained the situation. Finally got back out to try a few other things tonight and I see this. Got absolutely no idea how I looked at the leaf gap and didn’t see the nut.
I’ve won the dopey award for the day.
[quoted image]

Since the nut already off, best time to install LED flipper buttons!

Quoted from skywalker:

Here we go,
Artwork printed under all metal & plastic posts,
Anyway moving forward now.
[quoted image]

Wow I thought the new pinball brothers playfields were like indestructible

#8338 1 year ago
Quoted from Zablon:

This particular issue is more of a design issue than a PF issue I think. The post in question gets a ton of impact and is frankly too narrow and short to absorb that abuse. Even with washers in and the longer bolts it still tends to bite into the PF over time. I don't think there is really a good solution for it as it is built. A true fix would probably be to drill out the hole bigger and put a much larger post in there with a wider base. Maybe even a metal sleeve that goes through the hole and onto the top / or bottom for more support for the post.

I don’t know man I have 30 plus pinball machines including jjp , I never had a single
Playfield chip so far , looks like defective playfield to me

Couple Aliens celebrities going to be in town this weekend for comic con, might get translite signed on my OG alien. No vasequez!
https://capcitycomiccon.com/guests/

Problem is where should I have them sign! Should I just do the apron? There is no room on backglass. Or maybe one of the lit side panels!

Quoted from Zablon:

Out of curiosity did you talk to them at all or did they ask about the machine? Are they aware of it, played it, etc?

yeah they had no clue. Only sgt frost (ricco) looked interested. The lady chaperoning him (local town person) knew about pinball and showed me a pic of her spooky Halloween
Haha.

definitely need Vasquez next "lets rock!"

left panel will be for alien actors if i can ever meet them

Have no idea if I will ever be able to get Sigourney sig, Bill Paxton gone too

Think I may need to part with the heighway now and get this especially with new scenes etc. ANyone have a pic of the new topper?

#15227 6 months ago

Kind of confused where this machine lays in things
SV < LV < Ripley ?

#15243 6 months ago

If the new topper is the air lock, I still hope its got some sirens to it. Knowing Lior's work he will probably throw some smoke effect in there.

#15252 6 months ago
Quoted from Dan1733:

They added Ripley. I predict they just didn't add Signourney Weaver as Ripley. Wait and see.
I love this game, owned one of the first LVs, but be prepared for a huge disappointment.

Hmm good thought could just be some cartoon character ? I hope not it says movie clips

#15273 6 months ago

That’s nothing paid 150k for my Tesla model x , 3 months later 100k! Honestly it’s frustrating when they come out with newer stuff / versions and reduce prices . But if unsatisfied sell the old one and take ur
Losses and get a new one

Yell khan or something and move on

#15303 6 months ago

I wonder if the apron physically does anything or has lights? Or just something to look at ? Guess I will see when you guys post from expo, post double stat!

#15311 6 months ago
Quoted from Rager170:

Interesting with that Mini Beacon kit. Not sure if I want it or not. Wish there was a video or something.

Yeah I just saw that, having these add on options is pretty cool

#15423 6 months ago

I ordered topper too, but man it should come with those lights built in!

#15433 6 months ago

Man these pinball gods did it to me again! Another nearly 2k spent today . bastards!

#15453 6 months ago
Quoted from calprog:

All mods ordered! So cool. Glad PB did this for us Alien fans!

where did you order mods from?

#15594 6 months ago

Im confused they dont sell the topper sirens via PB for the SV and Ripely version ?

#15596 6 months ago

Man that Ripley artwork looks bad ass. difficult decision get ripley or find an LV

#15609 6 months ago

Can someone post a video of playfield new lights ?

#15614 6 months ago

Quoted from Yipykya:

I'm an Alien Franchise fanboy. Anything Alien - I like.
I ultimately was hesitant and passed on the LV a long ways back while Pinball Brothers were just getting their legs under them but after seeing this New Ripley version offering I'm back in. I just purchased the playfield flasher kit, shaker, and paid the topper deposit. The interactive topper announcement with the promised new software enhancement package put me over the top.
I've tuned in to Pinside here and there over the years and read through the LV and SV owners trouble shooting this or that while being taken care of nicely by PB customer support. After seeing the high def pics shared today I'm confident the time has come for me to finally pull the trigger. I love the new contrasting "busy" artwork all over this Ripley edition.
Life is good.
I noticed Jonesy has merited a spot on one side of the backboard box, I wonder if Disney has hidden a certain "Mouse" for us on there somewhere?
Perfect quotes for the new Ripley software update:
“I Got You, You Son Of A Bitch.”
and of course how could they leave out this little doozy:

Alien 1979
Ellen Ripley October 8th, 2092 - August 27th, 2179

I dont think you need the playfield fasher kit w/ ripley , it comes built in?

#15630 6 months ago

man all these new pinball releases, anxiety/stress made me gain 2 lbs since yesterday, thanks a lot pinball.
