Received my game yesterday. Setup it up last night and played a few games. Found that the left and right pop bumpers are switched, plus the upper left and right flippers stick up on occasion. Will be working on the pinout for connecting a Shaker motor today as well as a bill validator.

While playing a few games with the glass off I noticed that I was not getting points on a couple of the narrow standup targets. It turned out that they were stuck closed and being ignored by the computer. I just pulled the switch forward a bit to unstick, however, they would just get stuck again with the next ball hit. So I pulled out the stuck switch and found that it was getting stuck on the PCB that has the LED and microswitch on it. I took the switch apart and filed away a small bit of the PCB to gain more clearance. This worked really well, but I must caution you on doing this, for if you file on the wrong edge you'll remove a trace that is really close to the edge of the PCB. Please see the below picture showing the correct edge to file on. Also note you'll only need to file off about half a millimeter (0.5mm) to get the extra clearance needed to insure no stuck switches in the future.

Today I've been working on understanding how a shaker motor can be added. Here is what I've learned, there is a jack labeled Shacker Motor on the Cabinet Control Box drawing, this is jack J1 as labeled on the circuit board within the box. I have confirmed that pin 1 is 48Vdc, pin 3 is 12Vdc. Pin 2 goes to pin 2 on jack J5 and pin 4 goes to jack J5 pin 4. Jack J5 is the power in connector for this control box. When in coil test for the shaker motor I see no activity on pins 2 & 4, in fact, it appears that these two pins are connected to ground all the time. So I don't know how this jack is going to control a shaker motor if the both the power and the ground are active all the time.

Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

Trying to switch the left and right speakers but I can’t get the back box cover off. How do you remove this plastic translite?

The easiest way to get those connections is to fold the backbox down.

I believe I've gotten all of issues resolved on my machine. So it is now located at Maltese Brewing Company in Fredericksburg, VA.

So this is the second flipper bat that has broken on my machine. The first one was the upper left one. This machine is currently at a micro brew and has about 500 plays on it now.

Quoted from Redferne:

I'm posting this since I'm currently out of ideas. I have this wonky airlock eject behaviour which cannot quite grasp. I've sanded down the plunger so it's nice and smooth. The airlock mechanism is fitted nice and tight, also made sure the coil sits snugly and does not wiggle around. I have played for a week without any issues but now suddenly the airlock likes to randomly eject directly onto the left sling and then all bets are off. I'm expecting to be able to catch the ball on the left flipper everytime, but maybe I'm wrong
See the video for reference.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Had a similar issue with my airlock a few months back. It turned that the coil for that feature had come loose. I retighten the screws and all has been working great since then.

I got my Alien back in June and put it on location in mid July. I've had a couple of minor issues which were remedied in short order. The only major issue I had was a burnt out MOSFET, otherwise everything has been running great.

Quoted from Deez:

Ok did some deep dive troubleshooting today. The right side 48v power rail is dead at the board. Fuses all are good. Will update after PB responds.

I had this same problem late last year. It turned out to be a fried MOSFET, Q44 I believe, on the playfield controller board. I didn't file a ticket with PB, I ended up repairing it myself. All has been good since replacing that MOSFET.
