Quoted from lowbeau67:from deposit??
i put 1000 bucks down december 29 th 2021 for sv.
havent been asked for final payment yet.
hoping i get in next few months.
That was the assumption.
"I am considering an Alien SV but was wondering what the typical lead time has been on it."
"About 60 days."
For those waiting for a SV, CT told me on 8/12 that they are at the port waiting to be delivered to their facility. That sounds like hope but who knows.
Quoted from Utesichiban:My SV arrived 6-8 weeks ago. I've had no issues so far. I was pretty worried about possible issues but have been pretty happy with the game and quality.
Opened my SV today. Everything appears to be fine. I went over all the visible screws and nuts and they all were snug. Played a few games and nothing out of the ordinary occurred. Game shipped with code 2.7 so I need to update it to 3.0 when I get a chance. So far so good!
Unboxed our SV last week, put the apron decals on last night. Decals are already starting to peel off. Is there a magic way to apply these?
Quoted from Zablon:Check your door switch and tilt. Go into the switch test.
It won’t let me go into test with these error messages. Tilt connector looks fine. Reseated it, no change. Where is the door switch? I don’t see anything in the operator manual that specifies. Reseated all cabinet board connectors, no change. Pretty frustrating.
Issues are starting to mount. Checked the fuses and they’re all good. Looked at the board and Q28 looks suspect. All connectors are tight and I even swapped out the fuses with new ones to be sure.
I’m in touch with PB so hopefully they can help. Game is only a few days old.

Quoted from Mageek:From that pic Q28 looks fried
Looks like a G, maybe because part of it is fried, but nevertheless it’s toast. They are sending me a new board. Super fast customer service!
Quoted from Mageek:Also keep in mind that the SV runs .56 FW and LV .57.
My SV runs on .57 FW.

Update on this. Received a new component box from PB and everything seems better.
Had the ball get caught in the Alien mouth a few times during tournament play last night. Looked like the magnet was not letting go. Is there a standard adjustment to stop this from happening other than weakening the magnet strength?
Has anyone had an issue where the ball gets stuck half way up the wire form after launch? This issue just started yesterday having never happened before.
Quoted from GamerRick:Get the hypersleep chamber and the tracking mod from the pinsiders who made them. They are awesome. You definitely should get plastic protectors as well and I’m working with Cliff to design a set of Cliffy’s for this pin.
Got the plastic protectors the first day. I'll check out the others. Thanks!
Quoted from GamerRick:If it’s new you might be able to get a new stand up target under warranty from PB.
About 2 months new yeah.
Quoted from GamerRick:I would definitely try that they seem to be very willing to replace broken parts.
New part is already in the mail.
Quoted from madamyates:Has anyone encountered an issue where Ambush multiball doesn’t kick out additional balls?
Anyone?
The post next to the top right flipper broke off at the base. Any clever ideas how to get the threaded piece out?
Couple new issues today on 3.1. Right sling isn’t registering even though all connectors are plugged in. During test it won’t register unless I lift the playfield up a tad. Switches are gapped properly so I suspect there’s an issue somewhere down the line. Reseated about everything I could see, no change.
Might update to 3.2 but I know 3.2 has nothing to do with this issue. Anyone else have this happen?
Quoted from brado426:If you do a switch test, does the right sling work?
if you do a coil test, does the right sling work?
Based on those two tests, you should be able to identify if the problem is the coil or the switch. I've had several wires disconnect from the coil lugs and had to resolder them. After resoldering, never had a problem again with them. It may be a wire disconnected from the coil lug on the right sling.
Coil works in test but the switch does not. When I lift the playfield just a little while in test the right switch, I think 38, does trigger. It won’t trigger when the playfield is put back down.
Quoted from brado426:As a test, you can try plugging the right sling switch into the left switch port and vice-versa to confirm whether or not it is a mechanical problem with your switch or something else. Sounds like a switch issue to me if playfield position is causing it to work/not work.
I swapped the switch connectors, J8 and J9 work with either the left or right switches connected into it. J10 and J12 do not work at all, doesn’t matter which switches are plugged in. Board issue?
Quoted from fsumassey:Where do you all buy replacement stand up targets? The button on one of my has completely fallen off. Looks like their site is sold out.
If it's under warranty you should be able to get a replacement directly from PB support.
Quoted from GamerRick:I know I’ve seen a post somewhere in this thread on fixing them. Do a search. Can always order new ones from PB.
Sold out. Thanks.
Quoted from GamerRick:You mean PB is sold out?
The link on their website for spare parts goes to a site that is sold out, yes. I’ve requested an entire set from PB since I am still under warranty that this is bound to happen over and over again.
Installed the apron mod and beacons and now the right and left EOS switches are not working. Upper flippers work fine but the lower flippers do not. Coils fire in test, switches 49 and 50 do not activate. Any thoughts?
Edit: Updated from 3.1 to 3.2 and they work now. Whatever lol.
Quoted from Manny65:Alien doesn't have EOS switches, flipper power is software controlled when the flipper button is held in.
I'm not near my machine but believe switches 49 and 50 are the flipper button switches - I assume you have a LV with dual stack flipper button switches? Do you have staged flippers turned on or off?
49 and 50 are left and right EOS. Flipper buttons are 78 and 79 and they worked fine. I don't know why LL flippers didn't work with 3.1 but now they do with 3.2.
Quoted from conester:Best thing to do is submit a ticket to Pinball Brothers support...you will get an answer from them faster than you will get one from us! They are the best, so submit a ticket and I bet you are back up and running sooner than later!
Oh, I did. And you’re right. They are great at support. I just wish I didn’t have to contact them so often.
Quoted from punkin:My thoughts atm, don't upgrade.
Doesn't help your situation i know, but it helps us, so thanks.
They recommended a full install, not a delta upgrade. Full install works flawlessly.
Quoted from Rager170:Where do you find the full install? didnt see it on the website... I typically only like full installs, but did the Delta as thats all that is shown.
Luckily, I have had zero issues.
Quoted from Chosen_S:Pb had you do a full rebuild and now you’re game is working flawlessly?
Correct.
