Went to pincinnatti with the idea of playing Halloween
to make sure it was a game worth selling some of my older
games to get in on.
The Halloween was a beautiful pin
but there also were 2 Aliens.
Absolutely loved the the look of Alien and the wanting to keep
hitting start button feeling.
Deposit made 20 mins ago. I'm in. Super excited.
Now gonna read entire thread. Hahaha I'm on page 10.

The wait begins.. Showed
my grandson a pic of the beast.
He got quite excited.
Told him gpa had one coming in
later this year.
Will be a fun wait.

Quoted from SlapDrain:

Pre-ordered an SV early Jan 22' and it just got delivery yesterday. Xeno tongue gear grub screw was loose and it wouldnt pass calibration. Took off the xeno head and tightened the screw. Everything has been functioning perfectly so far.

Did you order through cointaker?

I preordered late December 2021
and haven't heard anything since

Not in a huge rush but I would like to get my game.

Figured it would be 8-10 months.

#8408 1 year ago
Quoted from SlapDrain:

Yes, I ordered from cointaker in Jan 22’. Did you order an SV or an LV? Strange I got mine before you if it’s an SV.

Yeah I put deposit down Dec 2021 for an SV.

Emailed Melissa and she said maybe mine is on
water.
None of this ever makes any sense. Lol

Glad you got your game.

Hopefully I get contacted for final payment soon.

Ive sold 2 nice refurbished pins and been doing side
jobs and over all hustling to raise the money.

Can't wait.

Quoted from Baggerman:

I ordered the stern black mirror set from https://www.pinballdecals.com/MirrorBladesPage.html Fits perfectly.

so the stern black mirrored are the set to order.

not the bally/williams set?

thx.

Quoted from madamyates:

I asked CT what the lead time has typically been for a SV. They said about 60 days. Is that accurate?

from deposit??

i put 1000 bucks down december 29 th 2021 for sv.

havent been asked for final payment yet.

hoping i get in next few months.

#8654 1 year ago
Quoted from madamyates:

That was the assumption.
"I am considering an Alien SV but was wondering what the typical lead time has been on it."
"About 60 days."

yeah wasnt sure if you meant from deposit or final payment.

lots of people on here have made final payment and then

have been waiting a long time also.

Quoted from paulbaptiste:

They are pumping games out. 98% of them are LV’s according to their video.
My game is due to arrive Wednesday!

Get some more freakin svs over here!!

#8755 1 year ago

Dam I want my game!!

#8822 1 year ago

Exciting day today for me.
Got email last night for final payment(sv)

Invoice said it was going in container next week.
Went to bank and sent a shitload of money overseas.

Now I'll see when I get.

I deposited with cointaker late December 2021.

#8837 1 year ago
Quoted from paulbaptiste:

She made it home!!! What a Journey! No problems unpacking. Only damage visible is to the legs. Looks like they were dropped before going in the box. All issue go through PB instead of cointaker?
Only thing that stuck out when inspecting the game was the lights for the coin door where being smashed by the playfield and were bent pretty far. Moved the lights and straightened the connectors.
Updated the software and played a few games. Everything seems to function correctly. Flippers are a bit weak. Right orbit needs adjusted as currently sending the ball sdtm. Flippers need alligned. Right spinner really interrupts flow pretty badly. Beyond that nothing to report so far.
I know it’s a honeymoon period but I am typically disappointed with every new purchase I make. Something lets me down almost immediately. Not sure what it is about this game but it just has me giddy and excited to dig in. Haven’t really had that feeling with any NIB or new to me game. I hope the feeling lasts.
Now to get it dialed in.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Dial that sumbitch in!!!

I've read this whole thread in its entirety but I can't
remember how long it takes for a container to travel from Italy to new jersey.
Read it in this thread but forgot.
Thx for any info.

Pinball life.

Thx

This is what's crazy. I made deposit in December and still don't have my sv. Other people that paid before me don't have theirs either. I don't mind d the wait but why doesn't cointaker go in order of when you make your deposit. It's a head scratcher.
As I said no rush and I know my game is coming soon.

Got invoice for final payment 7-25 and paid the remaining amount 7-26.

So I set up my sv tonight
Of course it's a freaking gorgeous thing to look at.

Played it for awhile and the only thing wrong is it stayed on ball one no matter how many times I drained.
It would auto shoot everytime after a drain.

No advance to ball 2 on screen.

So is it a trough switch or something else.

Anybody have this happen.

Thx

Quoted from brado426:

I had an issue similar to that once, and it was because of a disconnected LOCK opto switch on Playfield Board 8. Check the LEDs under the playfield for all 3 OPTO switches on Playfield Board 8. Make sure the LEDs are ON when there is no ball in the lock.

Will do! Thx .

Is this the correct area?
20220910_151701 (resized).jpg20220910_151701 (resized).jpg

So turn on and see if these 3 light up with all balls in trough?

Thx again

Quoted from Baggerman:

I dont think these are wired correct.. from what i understand the ones with the wires on right side go on top. the ones with the middle open are on the bottom.

Ok I'll give it a try.

Anyone else check real quick under the playfield?

Thx

#9906 1 year ago

How do you put in a ticket?

Thx.

Not sure how to fix my problem.

#9990 1 year ago
Quoted from ChipScott:

3 astronauts go into a derelict ship...
So I received my other two astronauts today and added them to my game diorama.
Dallas on the left checking on Kane (with his helmet eating off by a facehugger), and Lambert on the right exploring around with an open egg nearby...but spoiler...she makes it, this time.

Looks cool

Are those regular mirror blades or black blades?

I thought some black mirror would look killer

#10041 1 year ago

Received my sv last week. Everything seemed ok but I quickly realized the game wouldn't recognize drains and advance past ball 1.

Put in a ticket. Quick responses.
Took pics of led board by trough
in different stages of game and sent to support.

Told me to get new balls ..mine were probably magnetized.
Seemed strange to happen so quick. Went ahead and ordered some Polaris and more ninjas .
Those should get here next week.

So tonight I found 6 new balls I didn't know I had and threw those in. Didn't help.

Then I watched the balls drain and noticed there was always a ball at the very left of trough and drained ball hopped in front of it.

So here are some pics and videos showing

So fixed the problem.
The trough rails just needed
Bent some.
Hope this helps anyone that runs into same problem

Also my game was dead level.
I checked that before tweaking rails.

#10103 1 year ago
Quoted from mitchzizzle:

I did not try it - if anyone has used the official shim let us know if it fits! My way saves you 7.99+shipping

How about bending the rails like I did. It's working fantastic

#10106 1 year ago
Quoted from Mageek:

Your trough is different, not sure when they changed to that style.

yeah i see that in previous post.

cant bend that ...haha.

I'm tapping into the power supply to connect a separate arcade power supply after the on/off switch and the wires inside are aluminum??

Can I solder in my copper wire to those and get a good connection?

Thx for any advice

20221016_125730 (resized).jpg20221016_125730 (resized).jpg
#10629 1 year ago
Quoted from chubtoad13:

The connection will be fine. However, I would suggest crimping a fork lug on and connecting it directly to the power supply instead of splicing it there.

Will do.
I'll resplice the wire I cut.
I'll connect straight to power supply terminals.
Thx.

My sv has been great besides a small trough problem which I fixed.

Game has been great and practically problem free.

It is really the best bang for your buck today in the nib landscape.

Love it.

I've got a 12 inch sub hooked to my sv.
