Yes I have been given the shipping details to track the Australian LV container. Getting excited now.

Quoted from Ballypinball:

Just had a shipment arrive in Australia , pics up soon

Happy to take them away from Flippers to give them to Real Collectors.

Wait…..what! The LV have arrived?

Ok I’ll ask….@ballypinball, are they SV or LV Alien that have arrived in Australia?

#6023 2 years ago
Quoted from Ceemunkey:

I think they are SVs - I sent an email and Wayne says LVs are still on the boat, approx 2 weeks out. We all got hugely excited for a minute there!
Still - we are only talking weeks away now, not months - we are so close!

Quoted from delt31:

I just love this gif. Where is it from?

I can’t remember. It’s been on my phone for years from another time I got prematurely excited

#6058 2 years ago

Looks like the LV is going to be at TPF.

Quoted from Ceemunkey:

The more pics I see of the LV, the more eager I'm getting to receive mine. I'm literally willing the ship to go faster to get here.
At this stage I'm like Cartman waiting for the Wii - if freezing myself was an option I might just take it.
[quoted image]

The ship has decided to go south side of Oz to get to Sydney. I’m literally watching the ship go past me to get to the east then ship it back. They could drop mine on the way through.

#6546 2 years ago
Quoted from Audioenslaved:

Here in Aus the difference between the LV and SV is a whopping $4000! I’m struggling to see the $$ difference for same game minus trim, shaker, lit blades and invisiglass. For those that saw the two did the kit blades make a big difference? Are there other blades?

The one he has available right now is $1000 more than what they were. Probably as it’s the last one.

Quoted from Ceemunkey:

Yeah how annoying is that? It went PAST Melbourne already!

It sat in the Bass straight for 2 days. Plenty of time for them to have done a quick unload.

#6863 2 years ago

Are these code problems just on the SV or are the few LV out there affected by it as well?

2 weeks later
#7255 1 year ago

Just got an email confirming the Australian LV’s are getting unloaded from the container tomorrow. You lucky Melbourne guys can have it for the weekend. Those of us on the other side of the country still have a wait to go.

Just got notification that my Lv is being delivered today. Going to be a long day today at work.

#7370 1 year ago

Lv has arrived. This thing really looks great. Not sure how it plays yet as I’ve had two coils not working. Trough kick out and scoop kick out. Ended up being the pins in the connectors being pulled out from the wiring harness being so tight. Had to try freeing some up as there is no play at all in it.

#7371 1 year ago

I’m getting about 9 out of 10 airlock ejects going straight down the middle. Is this a common problem and is it easily fixed?

#7390 1 year ago

Ok. I sorted the scoop down the middle problem last night. Turned the game on this morning and both the main display and playfield airlock display images were showing on the main screen at the same time. I cycled the game and the main screen was back to normal but no airlock screen at all.
Started to play a game and it seemed to played fine for maybe 45 seconds although with no airlock screen, then all the inserts locked on. I let the ball drain and the game didn’t end the ball.

#7394 1 year ago

Arrghh! I really hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. The game feels like it has real potential but it feels like one thing after another at the moment. I understand some minor adjustments may be needed when you get it but this feels like it’s a bit more than that. I’ve already had to adjust 3 stand ups that were stuck closed, the scoop sdtm issue, the connectors with pins pulled out for the coils and a bent trough eject bracket that stopped the balls from rolling down the trough.
Now I’ve noticed the main monitor has an area to the right and top that is always out or mis coloured. After going through my photos it happened to be there from the first start up. I just hadn’t noticed it until now.
Also it’s started losing all of the background sound and it’s only playing the sound effects when a shot is hit. This background sound comes back for the next ball but will remain out for the entire ball in play.
This added to the air Lock Screen out and the game locking up mid ball and I’m getting a little concerned.

Edit: Now I’m really pissed. I don’t think I’ve even played 10 games and now it doesn’t even boot up. I turn it on and get the pinball brothers on the screen and the side rails light up but that’s it. Nothing else. I’m sorry for the people that love the game but I’ve got a piece of shit.

#7396 1 year ago

Sorry for my outburst before. Just the frustration spilling over. I’m sure it will get fixed. I’ve opened a ticket and have been told to do a machine rebuild.

#7423 1 year ago
Quoted from Manny65:

Well I only know because someone over in the west had the same experience as you

Haha. What a bloody idiot.

#7431 1 year ago
Quoted from Baggerman:

that was me.. LOL>. 6.3 in shooter button..

I’m sure a lot have done it. I was actually on the phone to Manny65 when I smelt the LEDs melting.

#7432 1 year ago

I did the rebuild as described on the PB site. When I did the power up after a minute, the game booted and I’d only assume able to play a game on 2.2. The airlock screen was still out and main screen had the thing still up on the right. I’m wondering if that is the airlock screen coming up in that corner.

I powered off the machine for 20 mins or so to do the 2.6 but the game got stuck at the screen in my picture here. Anyone else encountered this?

#7437 1 year ago
Quoted from javagrind888:

I'm going to open a ticket, but thought I'd post here here too. We have some LEDs out on the SV we got today, maybe more. Checked the wires we could see and they seem to be connected properly.
That we can see that don't work:
-Both stand ups on either side of the right ramp
-Stand up to the left of the scoop
-Dome lamp to the right of the Alien
-The entire front egg
Some of these above don't show up in the lamp test menu though. They are there, so are they just not coded?
From the individual lamp test (nothing lights up)
-7 gi subway
-141 gi left revive
-161 to 165 bottom jet 1-5

My stand ups were stuck closed. I had to bend the bracket a bit to get enough play.

#7439 1 year ago
Quoted from Ceemunkey:

Yeah one of my pop bumpers' LEDs are completely out (left egg). Everything seems to be connected up ok, PB have said I probably need a new pcb.
Boof-Ed did you sort out the software re-build/reinstall?

Got the rebuild to work. It then locked up again.

#7444 1 year ago
Quoted from ThePinballCo-op:

What's the next step for you?

As asked by Andrea I have checked the hdmi connections and also used another hdmi cable. Still no luck with the displays. PB are sending a new mini display and a few other parts to swap out.

#7446 1 year ago
Quoted from ThePinballCo-op:

At least PB is being reactive and trying their best to satisfy the customer (or so it seems).

Yes. I can’t complain with the customer service. Would be better if there was no problems at all but this is the next best scenario.

Finally got around to seeing what the blue 2d translite that KJS did. This is just resting in there so the led strip is very close to the back piece. The strip is not as noticeable when it’s set away a little. I just wanted to see how it looked. Very impressed.

#7673 1 year ago

I just had something strange happen. Had a pretty average game and at the end it said enter initials. At first I thought maybe I had got a minor thing like egg champ or something like that but it was the top score.
Now this was a 70 million score and my lowest top score to date would have been 150. Seems all the scores had reset. I’ve only played 50 games so couldn’t have been a high score reset yet.
Anyone else experienced this?

#7675 1 year ago
Quoted from kciaccio:

Did you do an update to your machine?

No.

#7702 1 year ago

I’m having an intermittent right flipper problem. At times it just completely stops working then is fine once the next ball is up.
Anyone else seen this?

#7704 1 year ago
Quoted from jokerpoker:

I had it once in the first couple of games but nothing since then. I’ve got the droop on the lower flippers from a hard knock down but not worrying me that much at this stage. One of my beacons stopped working yesterday. Disconnected it and reconnected both working again. My hypersleep lock is perfect now too. Not that I can make the shot haha. Nice to know it will work if I can just….PLAY BETTER!

Are you on 2.6? My flipper drop is nearly non existent since the code update.

3 weeks later
#8008 1 year ago

I’ve had absolutely no issues since doing the rebuild and 2.6.

#8074 1 year ago

How often are people getting this? 6 weeks and this is my first.

What setting is everyone using on the sling coils? Mine seem to be way over powered.

Quoted from Niterider:

We tried a different HDMI cable but it still isn't doing anything. It does have 5v going to the screen...so I'm leaning towards a dead screen on a machine we have had for about a month.

Mine died and has been replaced. I was getting a small area at the top right of the main display trying to show the airlock screen.

#8206 1 year ago
Quoted from Niterider:

Did you get a replacement from pinball brothers via a warranty or did you just order one from somewhere?

Warranty. They were very quick too.

#8220 1 year ago

I’ve just had a major Doh! moment. My left flipper started phantom flipping and getting stuck up. I checked the flipper switch gap and was checking all connections and anything else it could have been. Started getting concerned it could be something major going on.
Contacted PB and explained the situation. Finally got back out to try a few other things tonight and I see this. Got absolutely no idea how I looked at the leaf gap and didn’t see the nut.
I’ve won the dopey award for the day.

Quoted from paulbaptiste:

It sure confuses the shipping video that PB posted on facebook. It looks like they have already made 135 LV’s….Where is your game at? I even reached out to PB on FB about my game number and they told me mid August. Something doesn’t compute…

I’m in Australia and my game is 277. They aren’t making them in sequence.

#8313 1 year ago
Quoted from Manny65:

Have a query in regards to the delta updates. The PB instructions for 2.7 state "Update will work on any previous updates. Alien(s) - V2.0R1.2 → v2.2 → 2.3→ 2.4→ 2.5→ 2.6 → 2.7". So saying it'll work on any previous update, I've assumed that if I was running 2.5 I could go directly to 2.7, yet I see that the 2.6 update is 44MB while 2.7 is only 396KB ... hence I'm now thinking that delta updates need to be applied sequentially in order (eg 2.5→ 2.6 → 2.7).
For those who have rebuilt their game with 2.2, were you able to then update it directly to the latest release or did you need to sequentially update via each of the minor releases? I'm thinking this might have been possible previously but maybe the 2.7 update can only be applied to 2.6??

I went from the rebuild 2.2 straight to 2.6. Haven’t done 2.7 yet.

Anyone else having trouble with the high scores resetting? I’ve changed the battery as per PB instructions. Still doing it. Three times it’s happened. It’s not the high score reset that’s in the settings. I alway turn that off or raise the number when I get a machine. All other game settings are not resetting. Just the scores.

#8447 1 year ago
Quoted from Ceemunkey:

I had this happen once too - which is a shame as I had a 380 million game on there that I still haven't been able to beat.

I had a 540 that’s gone.

#8449 1 year ago
Quoted from transprtr4u:

Sure you did...
Just kidding , nice score

I know it was a joke but I did get a picture to send a mate that would say the exact same thing.

I’ve just changed the settings on the flippers to stage but it seems they stage the wrong way around. Is this normal or have my switches been connected the wrong way around?

#11982 1 year ago

Is it both flippers or just the right flipper that seems backwards?

Both

Thanks! This is what I'm talking about
[quoted image]

Mine did this. The playfield display was faulty. I’m guessing yours never shows anything, even in a hammer? A new one fixed the problem for me but check all your connections first.

#12249 1 year ago

I get one lit at 3 life cycles.

#12253 1 year ago

Is this spot going to be a problem? First time for me in roughly 400 games.

Quoted from paulbaptiste:

I’m having problems with my ball launch. I don’t feel any broken welds or rough parts on the wire form. I’ve changed the coil, sleeves and plunger….It will plunge fine 10 times in a row, then during a mode it may be unable to get the ball up to the playfield for 10minutes. ..
Bracket is tight to playfield. Not sure what else to look at but have isn’t really playable as is. Attached picture of placement for comparison. Too high? Too low??
[quoted image]

Mine was playing up and I found it was just clipping the first ring on the wireform. I had to pull it up a bit and elongate the ring.

#12642 1 year ago

Record the plunge in slow motion and see if it’s hitting something.
