So anyone see the Godzilla release video yesterday? For those that already have and know Alien, any opinions on if GZ will be in the same league?

I doubt they'll be comparable at all. Completely different types of games in every way

Alien has a zenomorph on the playfield

Godzilla has a watermelon lizard on the playfield

One of my customers made it to "All Out War" a week or so ago. It was pretty awesome to witness. I got video, but don't want to be a spoiler for those that like to witness it for the first during their own game. I will have to say, I wish there was more going on with the screen. It pretty much just displays the same wording the whole time.

Fun fact: I got to All out War at your place when you had the original. It was awesome.

You never put my initials on your site when you were doing that. I was kinda bummed.

Work is sending me your way again soon. Excited to get some more time on Alien.

Finally got my armor back from the powder coaters, the depth on the coat is incredible! Steve from MI Pinball Refinery really killed it! I told him I wanted a mossy green color and this is what he came up with, it took 4 stages to get this effect. It's really hard to get a good picture showing the depth and color. I will try and take a couple more in the daylight. Also changed out the T-molding to a textured black I think it looks much better than the chrome. Added gold coin button return and put my topper on the game You can also see Vimtoman motion tracker mod with the custom plate installed here. I've missed being able to play this while she's been down Lol.

I don't think they are comparable, hell...I don't think it is even comparable to Ultraman. That being said, I like the actual looks of it, but have no interest in buying another new pin at the moment.

I found some videos of the custom apron in action on You Tube. Check it out if you like.

Ha, I do not recall that at all. We stopped putting the scores on our site because I could not keep up with it. Well, you need to do it again when you come back! And introduce yourself when you are in so we can chat.

Plastic protectors? Where can you buy those?

This game is dimpling faaast. Wasn't expecting it as bad as it is.

Otherwise though, I haven't had any further issues! Finally got what I think is a respectable score of 340m.

#2716 2 years ago

Mine has dimpled quite a bit too. I don’t stress about it though as these games should be played and not protected for some other person down the road.

We will see what’s in the LV version and if Pb has learned the value of loctite and lock washers.

GZ looks like a cartoonish over busy mish mash. I prefer adult oriented themes not Saturday morning cartoons.

Any one ever have issues with the Xenomorph jaw not closing properly?

Mine closes to a point then I hear electrical interference like the motor struggling...

It's locking up the tongue almost all the time as a result...

Has anyone installed this yet?
I appreciate the listing and information but I have a few questions please:
Do you have to strip most of the playfield?
There is an adhesive to this?
Even though this is a different material than Mylar can it haze up and does it make the ball behave differently? Thank you so much.

It took me the whole day to install it but I also changed out the stand up target switches, 4 flipper bats, installed the plastic protectors and upgraded the post in front of the right upper flipper.

To install the playfield protector you have to remove the ramps and plastics. You don't have to touch, post's, zeno, pop bumpers, or sling mechs.

They use this playfield protector on location by me on their machines and they still look like new and been going there for a year.

It just lays down on the playfield no adhesion.

It also helps with the dimpling.

Hope this helps.

Can you tell me which post you ordered? (the one by the upper right flipper)

If anyone wants to upgrade to the Le and drop out of their spot let me know

Quoted from Zablon:

I used this one (bally 02-4003) Removed the T-Nut and used Nylon locknut and washer, just fits under the flipper housing.

I'd be curious how the Pinstadiums connect up since they usually hook up to flashers and GIs via alligator clips, don't really have any connection points like that on this game

For anyone wondering about a led strip for the backglass. Walmart has a Monster brand 40 led USB strip with remote for $5 that works great. Set it to the version of white that you want and leave it. Makes the title and egg pop a bit more. *Note I tried other colors and fades and it just didn't look good.

*Thanks to PappyBoyington for the idea.

So after nearly one month of being out of action my pin is now operational again. For clarity mine had a few issues which stopped me from playing.

1. Chip on playfield due to loose post next to top right flipper.

2. Top right flipper bat cracked (early generic flipper bats)

3. Crushed gen 1 targets and a cracked xeno target.

My care package arrived from Pinball Brothers today.

1. 4 X PB branded flipper bats
2. New 'skinny' Gen 2 targets
3. New 'Wide' Gen 2 Xeno Targets

Customer support has been excellent to be fair.
My pin was at a show (UK pinfest) over that weekend it hit 1000 plays and got Pretty beat up.

Both the distributor and Pinball Brothers organised replacement parts to get it bk to a working condition.

I had bought the machine prior to the show but was given the choice after to get a new in box instead.

Upon reflection I maybe should have gone with the offer of a new machine. I've spent about 30 + hours getting it right.

Whilst the pin was down I used the time to disassemble the playfield and send off the plastics to be measured and cut for protectors.

Here's the end result.

So I accidentally pulled the wire tgat cones out of the lid screen that is on the playfield. It comes through the playfield along with the HDMI cable.

Anybody knows where it plugs into under the playfield?

There are a bunch of open 3 pin connectors down there.

Right in the very back corner of the playfield. I had it out a couple times found it easiest to put in by reaching from the top side of the playfield.

Love the plastic protectors, exactly the color I thought they need to be. Now for someone to actually make and sell them.

Okay..this annoys me... as someone mentioned the alien targets get bent back and the jaw scrapes on them. Going to have to figure something out, mole skin on the back of those targets or something.

Quoted from Red_Devils:

Hi, I will ask the designer/modder. He does a lot of CNC cuts for many pins but it's more of a hobby and less of a job for him.

We've been tweaking the design a bit on some due to some being too thick.

An example would be the Hadley's hope plastic on the right spinner. I had to Dremel a part off to stop it obstructing the spinner arm that protrudes out

The large ramps were meant to have to the protector in the middle but there wasn't enough thread on the posts. In the end I stick them around the top which still worked out nice.

Ideally he would have the pin to see how it all fits together, Instead he just had to cut by the plastics I had just sent 'as is'. Once we've tweaked a few I'm sure he'll accommodate new orders he's a great guy.

Regarding the slings I may get the thickness adjusted as it raises up the slings by 3mm sometimes the ball rolls over the top of the sling rather than through the inlane when coming out if the ramp. Not sure but I bet the extra height from the drop is causing it.

Otherwise though they are simply excellent he went the extra mile of creating cut outs over the transparent pieces so the green doesn't obscure. Small things like that make it look amazing imo.

I must say, to use these nice convolux-plastics that it works much better on PB-ALIEN because they use other screws.
At HW-ALIEN it's not so easy and a lot of rework... some spots doesn't work properly caused by stucked balls.
My recommendation is to check again and again, that no balls get stuck under the plastics, before reassembling all parts.
