More concerned about the blowing fuses. Any idea what is causing them and if it is something that can actually be 'fixed'?

Played Oktoberfest last weekend..it's a blast! Nice pins

Ahhh beer and Aliens. Great combo. Congrats.
Quoted from HurryUpPinball:LV-426 has landed. First stream with be tomorrow (6/20/2021 at 8pm EST) on Twitch - twitch.tv/hurryuppinball
Thanks for streaming.
The last time the flippers cut out were you playing for 2ish hours too?
Only issue I've had is a couple of the plastic targets on the standups have gotten stuck on the post behind them. Pulled them back a bit. Will have to see if that fixed them or will keep happening.
following this thread...some of the issues make me want to wait 6-12 months down the road to see if some of these issues are cleaned up on later runs. Multiple blown fuses make no sense on a new pin.

Me 2, patiently waiting for this pin to become a proven reliable NIB purchase. Its tough, but I'm hangin in there. I really hope by 2022 the main distributor in Toronto has decided to carry the game and all the bugs are worked out.

I was thinking it may be related to time but it happened during a short game off stream, both times during Ambush MB. Nothing too crazy though and not frequent. I will let PB know.

I may be wrong, but isn't there a point in Ambush MB that the flippers cut out on purpose?

I think you are right as I have seen it a few times. I have had it lock up, lights and flippers, on two occasions requiring a power cycle. I suspect it is code and will share with PB. It is not frequent though and most of the gameplay last night was smooth sailing.

Not sure of PB version, but flippers stay engaged throughout entire Ambush mode in Heighway machine....

Okay must just be the lights go out.
Quoted from gliebig:My skinny standups keep getting stuck on the metal behind them. Anyone else having this issue?
I centered all the parts of the switch stack then used a small phillips bit to tighten down the two screws holding the stack together. They have not moved since I did that. They were not very snug when I got my game. I made mine tight but did not ratchet them down since the pcb sits in the switch stack.
CT is not responding and I wonder if anyone knows if they, for a fact, have games sitting on the floor without pallets for the folks who paid in full in May?

I was there yesterday. Can confirm they were quite a few sitting there ready to go.

Thanks for letting me know.
Quoted from delt31:random but does the game come with apron cards or no?
Yes.
20210620_170748 (resized).jpgMy Alien tongue in test mode is very loud/rough sounding. Is that normal? It has been working fine during gameplay.
Took delivery of my Alien this morning but I'm unable to start a game. I get 2 error messages, 1. Pinball Missing I have taken out the balls and added them multiple times tried re-seating connections all to no avail, and the second message is switch error. Also all the bottom of the play field looks washed out like Easter colors and none of the lamp tests work on the bottom third of the paly field. I have opened a ticket with Pinball Brothers.

Mine behaves the same, but on one of the streams I saw (don’t remember which one) the startup test seemed much smoother than mine. I haven’t spent any time investigating further.

Mine is loud / rough sounding as well. I applied electronic safe grease to the gears and the tongue which helped a little. I am kicking around a few ideas on how to quiet it down. It may need to wear in a little. That was one of the first things I noticed when I booted up the game. I pulled off the Xeno head by loosening the two phillips screws on the side of the Xeno.
This is starting to look like a sh** show. Can’t imagine these games not tested before hand. Glad I waited on grabbing what I am sure will eventually be a great pin

so far, doesn't seem any worse than practically every other pin launch the last 3-4 years. The + is that these guys are still working out the kinks.
Can you take a picture of the playfield issue?

Love ur passion but come on man.

Oh don't think I'm blind. I'm certainly not an apologist. I'm not afraid to bitch about what is wrong. I have concerns about certain design decisions, but so far, nothing that scares me out of it. Seems more stable than OG at this point. I have an R&M which is probably the most I've ever had to work on a game to get it up to speed. That being said, there's plenty of bitch threads about most of the makers, aside from probably CGC (which by the way, my game from them is still rock solid, never had to do anything to it).
Quoted from digitaldocc:Can you take a picture of the playfield issue?
Not a very good pic but I think you get the color, in Lamp Test menu the lights don't flash on the lower 2/3 of the playfield but the top ones do.

I was told last week they should have the entire shipment out by tomorrow
My sympathies to Red_devils. What a huge bummer that you get a bricked machine. I'm watching this with much interest. Time for the Hermanos to step up

Thanks, but I went in with eyes open, a new release is bound to have teething issues. I'm confident that Pinball Brothers will be in touch tomorrow to offer assistance, I have submitted a ticket and have sent Melissa an email detailing the issues, so soon hopefully I will be killing Aliens
I will post updates in the thread as to any fixes that they offer and then hopefully that will help others who may encounter issues out of the box.
Has anyone posted underside photos? I’ve only been watching this thread, I’m just curious about the difference between original and pinbros. node boards, power supply etc.

Wow, it's amazing how clean they managed to get that with all the switches just being on the pcbs

Here are a few I took yesterday of the rail system and backbox.

I’m expecting the side blade companies to offer those lit up side blades they have for other games in here for alien. Would be a match made in heaven. I’ve already emailed them as well. For now, I might put mirrors in it to see how that looks. The reflection might show off the light effects well. Then I can just remove them and put in cool side art when they become available.
Quoted from thewool:Is there no subway on this game? Where does the xeno eaten ball go, into an adjacent VUK?
The ball is ejected from the VUK after the Xeno eats it. I believe that is the only transfer.

I'm waiting to see what is available as well in terms of side art.
