There's a mechanical reason. Just try loosening and retightening the stop and front piece and making sure everything is in line.

It’s arrived! I went over it after set up and plugged the wires in for the switches. Plays great, no issues that I can tell out of the box, Xeno grabs the ball fine.

I did notice that a shot up the right flipper lane doesn’t always hit that top switch, thinking I should move that rail back slightly. Thoughts?

I was the one having the issue. Yes both ends. It appears to be a synchronization issue when the machine starts the display turns on and shows the logo, which I'd expect even if the computer wasn't booting. Then it will continue to show boot messages sometimes the upper screen will turn off completely and the lower screen will stay on. If the upper is going to come on it will show the blue gray alien screen with the version number.

Here is my almost playing 100% besides sticking right upper flipper. The light up targets are awesome. Added mezel blue light strip in the back. May need a 3d translite now.

Anyone experience the ball getting stuck in the Xenos mouth when the rod picks up the ball? Happens 1 out of every 8 games, buy non magnetic balls?

Had this happen on my game before, as the rod retracts there is a groove the switch arm falls into and opens, adjust the arm to stay closed slightly longer so the rod retracts far enough to knock the ball off

I think there was a video someone made I watched at the time but I can't find it right now

I have had my LV for about a month now and it has become a top 5 game for me in my large collection. It is pretty much my go to game since I received it. I had some issues when I received the game but Pinball Brothers support has been awesome!

I updated to code 3.0 this morning and just had my best game yet..probably the best I will ever have. Scored 740M and got to the All Out War wizard mode! What a rush this game is! Funny thing is that most of my scores are in the 20M to 50M range but once in a while, will have a breakout game that keeps you coming back for more! I think the game is underrated!

It’s funny you say that .3 people I know that have large collections and been in this hobby a long time all say the same .Alien sits in my top 5 for sure and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s closer to 1 than 5 .Besides it being a absolute beauty ,this pin is the most immersive pin I’ve ever played period !! I don’t know how to explain this but these modes n multi balls have a way of pulling me in like I’m really there .Does this make sense ? My favorite pin is IMDN and with that I feel I’m playing pinball .With Alien I feel I’m in a movie .

I upgraded to 3.0 yesterday my LV and seems fine, except - One of my targets is glowing 'red' and flashing with skill shot lights during gameplay.

I don't think this is intended given that when I hit the target, nothing happens.

Here's a video showing it as well.

Anyone else run into this?

My guess is that the LED cables for targets 1, 2, and 4 are not plugged in. If you plug those in, you should get consistent results between targets 1, 2, 3, and 4.

That's precisely what it was...thx!! - yeah these secondary cables were not plugged in out of factory for some reason. I remember plugging in one of them and leaving the rest unconnected because they 'weren't needed' as I understood but wouldn't hurt plugging in - I should have plugged in all of them. Weird they left wired but unconnected.

I have The same issue on my SV. Although mine is on the leftmost xeno target

This right here. My up posts were not working well on orbit shots but everything worked fine in test mode.

10% was too low, but increasing each one by 15% did the trick.

No non-connected cables but I am curious if they are plugged into the right connectors?

I think they unplugged them because older versions of the software was lighting up one of the targets, which made things look weird and inconsistent, so they just told their assembly-line to leave them all unplugged for now. I really love the light-up targets!

Hi all
Been getting a few PM's for the translites again so I will do another run in 1-2 weeks. If you want in please drop me a pm. There are 3 versions.

SV green front and rear
LV blue green front and blue Queen
LV blue green front Alien tail rear

I think if you didn't do a full cab art change like I did the LV blue green sets match both models better...
It's quite a big job coordinating all this with printing, packaging and shipping! I think with our weak Aud it's a good option for you guys. After this run if I do another I will have to increase the costs a bit as everything has gone up here.
Some people have just asked for an additional rear panel version which is ok as well.

Ok this is my second ticket and the response times are quite long in the tooth. From what I’ve read on here it seems like you’re conversing rather quickly like hours between responses not days… I’ll admit that the first response to my ticket was within a few hours but I haven’t received a response to my reply and it’s been 2 days…

Ok, so after installing 3.0 and connecting the connectors under the playfield...what is the normal operation/function of the 5 target lights? What would be their normal lighting...only during certain modes, do they have an attract mode? I am just trying to get an idea of I should be seeing. Any info is appreciated.

Hello Pinside:

I am having trouble with the bottom left flipper of LV-154. Specifically flipper response has become intermittent. It's just frozen sometimes and does nothing and then will be active again. I was hoping the 3.0 code would correct the issue but it has not. I looked under the playfield and everything is properly connected. All screws are tight. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I've been waiting for a response on what they're going to do about my (2) failed backbox LED's for 2 weeks. I think they are just prioritising issues that stop the game from being able to be played compared to ones that don't.

I believe 1-4 should flash red during game and lit solid red when hit, target 5 by the drop targets doesn't have any lights coded. I did not notice anything during attract just when game is started

There have been issue of one of the weapon targets being tied to the left xeno target, which I am seeing currently in my game

Check / redo solder joint under the heat shrink, cold/bad solder joints are common on the coil connections.

Are you sure this isn't a problem with the left flipper button switch? Perhaps it is bent out of form?

There is no story... that is the intent. I mentioned to them that the 5th target light should at least light in test mode... otherwise, people will think there's something wrong with their 5th target. Andreas said they are thinking about some changes to the target programming that will make things clearer.

So my machine, once it's been on for a while, say an hour or longer will start having trouble launching balls.
They just don't make it up the trough all the way.
The machine will try and try and try on ball saves and multi ball.
Same deal with new balls with the the launch button.
The quick turn off & reboot doesn't seem to help.
Letting it sit *off* it eventually goes away.
Any one else seen this? I am on the latest code - 3.0

I haven't had my play field up in a while but I want to say that the fifth target is the only one that doesn't have a spot to plug in so that could be part of the problem at least on older machines

Sounds like it is overheating since leaving it off seems to fix it. Check and make sure it moves freely and not bound up somewhere. Also you could try turning the launch power down as it shouldn't need to be full if it is working properly.

The change log doesn’t state anything about the weapon targets. It doesn’t say „connect them now‘.
I‘d say they are pretty aware that target 5 doesn’t work. That’s why it’s not in the change log.

Report on 3.0 update:
- Installed directly from 2.7. After I installed it from the menu, it gave me a Fail message. However, upon restarting machine it did show 3.0. Seems to be fine.
- Target lights seem working as intended

I’ve had some weirdness with my left flipper. I needed to initially adjust leaf switch, which helped, but still a little sluggish or unresponsive. Still may be a mechanical fix.

Recommended for anyone taking translite off: consider putting a little electrical tape or something on the backside, upper corners, to prevent paint from rubbing off. Mine is extremely tight to remove.

Coil is at the flipper itself... the 2 connections where the wires from harness enter the coil for the flipper mech.

Got a response back on the screen and target issues. They verified the cables were connected correctly.

For the screen they had me rebuild the software back to 2.2. I haven't has a screen off issue since so I'll keep an eye on it. After 2.2 was installed I updated to 3.0 again and the switch went back to being tied to the state of the right airlock led.

3 other fixes. Made a new gate for the right lane. Seems to be working much better.

The C target was inconsistent. I took the board out and put it under the microscope. Everything looked fine (except for the solder flux that wasn't removed) but the lowest pin was actually loose. Soldered them all and is working as expected.

Replaced the flipper buttons with glow in the dark. They seem to feel better and they look good glowing or not.
