Hi Kneissl and everybody!

I own 6 pinball's manufactured by Taito:

Shark
Hawkman (Phatom)
Lady Luck (Mata Hari)
Zarza (Xenon)
Speed Test (Vector)
Snake Machine (Devils Dare)

Rio de Janeiro (Rio Pinball Clube) and São Paulo (Pinball Clube SP) both have places were collectors leave their collections.

As far as I know, Taito Brasil copied Stern, Gottlieb, Bally, Willians and Zaccaria.
Believe it or not, they created their own hardware and software for all Machines.
It was incredible, because it was very consistence and reliable.

I can make a video showing one title working and pull up the PF to show you guys how crazy it is.

I did an old Video for Rio Pinball years ago.

I'll look at it and share the link to start the conversation!

Quoted from Kneissl:

In all the arcades I’ve been to in Brazil they all use these sort of keyed coins. I’ve only been south of sao paulo. Is this Pretty much a universal thing?
[quoted image]

Those used to be our tokens!
Pretty common on that days.
Because of inflationary currency, it was impossible to use coins...

Quoted from KenLayton:

I'd like to see backside of coin door, underneath playfield, and the boardsets in the backbox pictures.

Sure. I'll take pictures and videos to share.
Probably next week...

Quoted from Kneissl:

Pretty awesome club, man! I'd love to see under the playfield. What sort of things do the games say in Portuguese?

That's the cool part!
Zarza doesn't speak.
Neither Drakor (gorgar)
But Lady luck speaks a lot!

So, even you think they use the same artwork, sometimes the rules are different.

Quoted from Kneissl:

I was in Brazil a bit in the late 90s early 2000s arcades were still very big like the 80s in the US. modern consoles were super expensive, so nothing at an average Brazilian home compared to tekken and whatever was hot in arcades at the time. I remember arcades were called “fliperama” is that an indication how big pinball was in the 80s?

Sure!
It was very common to see an arcade or pinball on every corner.

All malls use to have tons of games.
In the begging of 90's, the government reopen the importations after almost 17/20 years.

So the flipperamas, gain a lot of extra time because of that.

Home consoles were rare and basic rich families use to have on the beginning.
One more reason to arcades survived more time here in Brazil.
