Well, it could be this book, Tilt, The Pinball Book: Home Maintenance, History, Hot Tips is ultra rare, but I'm guessing this is bots who set prices getting into a war with each other and slowly moving the price up over time until it is just stupid. The cheapest used copy is $450.

Amazon is now a haven for scammers. It's worse than ebay / craigslist combined. Every time I search for something, whether it's a board game, computer, book, whatever, I find scammers listing the item at 100x a normal price. I guess they're hoping to either fool some sucker, or get lucky on someone who misinterprets a currency conversion. Amazon is a last resort for shopping these days.
