I wanted to document the work I do on my various projects. My store, pinballbasement.com, sells all the major components needed to make a restoration or "rebuild" as I call it, really nice. So this topic will also be used a showcase to show these boards in action.

The first project I'm going to detail is Funhouse. This project started in 2018 when a reseller out west sold me a partially populated Funhouse playfield. Turns out it was from Twisted Pins and his collections of ramps, parts, and various odds and ends.

Fast forward to 2020 and I placed an order from Virtuapin for a new Funhouse Cabinet. That Cabinet arrived today.

Since i've had this "project" for two years I've been slowly finding parts as they become available. The biggest issue new pinball face with a project is finding parts. It really does take years in some cases to find all the parts. However rare they are or unlikely to pop up, if you wait long enough and are vigilant in looking the parts will be found eventually.

It is an amazing feeling to finally put these parts into their forever home.

The transformer for this game came out of Tennessee and was traded for 4 DMD's.

The speaker panel U bracket came from Reno and was originally used for an earthshaker.

The speaker panel was found locally and the speaker panel plastic came from Florida.

I can't find record of Rudy... But it was a couple hundred dollars. A nicer one from the same seller went for $500, but this guy was missing parts so it went for a bit less.

All the missing parts were found in a somewhat recent pinball store closing. All the random springs and coil stops, etc were found here.

The nice thing about being a licensed supplier of pinball parts is that when I need something for my project.. I can pull it off the shelf and have a tested and working part.

Take this MPU for example, brand new 2020 product from my store:
