There’s zero point in “cutting on the cabinet.” Empty space isn’t that heavy, and there’s zero demand from anybody for making commercial pinball machines more resemble toy ones.
File this one under “nobody wants it leave well enough alone.” It’s not going to happen. People would raise Hell.
They can’t even handle moving the power switch without a full on meltdown. People got pissed when Stern went from wood to metal for the back box head. In this case, I wouldn’t blame them. Every attempt to alter the basic shape of a pinball machine so far has looked really stupid.
