    Quoted from pezpunk:

TPA is what got me back into pinball. well, more accurately it was TPA's predecessor, Pinball Hall of Fame for the Wii. I had both "The Williams Collection" and "The Gottlieb Collection", the tables from which all eventually made their way into TPA (Jive Time is the only exception!). The "hall of fame" games were the kindling, but TPA is what fanned those flames into an unquenchable wildfire. a real-life physical collection had to follow!

Wow, very much what happened with me as well. Had a friend from A/V forums (he still posts here) light the fire a bit by mentioning he was looking for a pinball machine, which got me to buy the PHoF for the PS3. That really got me to the point where I knew I wanted a real machine. MM was very addicting on PHoF. When I got my first real pin (Wh20) I was hooked.
