I never had to opportunity to play a real "Tales of the Arabian Nights" pin.

I've been playing it in Pinball Arcade.

    Man, what a great game.

    Quoted from JJHLH:

Has Farsight confirmed that Pinball Arcade is coming to Oculus Rift? I know they said it is coming for Stern Pinball Arcade. I would love to play some of the classic tables in VR!

I messaged them on Facebook about it and while they wouldn't give me a date (of course, lol) they said it's still in the works.

blockquote cite="#3572873">I have a Surface Pro. I have not tried it on a tablet. How does it work on a tablet? You touch the flippers instead of using a keyboard or controller?

Yes you just operate the flippers by touching the sides of your tablet, but the nudging just doesnt feel right to me like it does on a ps4 contrller. To nudge you have you move your left thumb up on the tablet. I just cant get used to it. I wish I could though because the graphics look great on the tablet. Its still fun to play bht I wouldnt be able to put any high scores up on the tablet at all.

I emailed them and they told me they aren't currently working on Oculus Rift support for the regular TPA, but would pass the suggestion along. It doesn't sound very encouraging. Perhaps they don't want to take away from the upcoming Arcooda Pinball Arcade cabinet, which looks very interesting.

adding tons and tons of ads which is pointless if you pay for a table

Confirmed. If you buy the "tables", there are no ads.

So earlier when I said I support them, I actually mean that I purchased the product. You don't pay and you complain about the ads?

"Pinball Arcade" has helped me to make a decision on 4 of the machines I own, having never played them in the real world.
You get a really good Idea of the atmosphere of the game, sound is the same, game-play is good enough to give you an idea of the shots and you get a chance to play games you cant afford or have not got the room for.

I play TPA on steam with an Xbox controller, and it makes me wish real tables (other than demo man) had triggers for flippers. Ergonomically its much better.

It may not be identical but wouldn't expect it to be. I can say that when I have played any of those games in person, understanding how they play and even some of the reflexes carry over. Real flipping is still very different but it can make you a better player.

Took me an hour to think and figure out what you meant! Hilarious!

The cats have left it alone for now. But it's ok if they go nuts on it. I was going to spray-paint the base anyways.
