I used Pinball Arcade to test a few games as there are none of them anywhere near I live.
At least it gives you a good idea if you like them. The app cost me nearly $8K as I had to buy a pin I played on it

I just discovered it last night. It's pretty impressive for a phone app. The downside of course is figuring out where I'm going to fit pins that I now want

I have it for the same reasons others have said, learn the rules of specific games, and play a few pins I don't have easy access to that I wish I did. No substitute for the real thing, but still enjoy it.
