Maybe the new pinball fx cabinets doing the show tour? Maybe they’ll go real tables to help sell units?

It could be as simple as Scientific games wanting more money than they previously had since "pinball is so hot right now" and Farsight just didn't see enough value in it to increase what they were paying. I know the Farsight statement was something along the lines for "they (scientific games) chose not to renew" but the end of that sentence could easily be "... at the original rate"
Quoted from acedanger:Visual Pinball is free & much better!!
... and so much more of a time sink with getting games, configuring shit, setting up a frontend, updating shit, blah blah.
Also, not available on mobile devices, where a shit-ton of people play TPA.
Quoted from acedanger:Sorry but if you have the couple of hours it's pretty easy if you're okay with computers & know how to read. Really who wants to play pinball with friends on a small tablet or a 2" smart phone. IMO TPA is pretty weak; so no real loss for me. I do own a Oculus so I was hoping they would eventually make it's way there instead it made its way to that piece of shit switch.
It's a lot more than "a few hours" because there are constant updates and new releases, it's an ongoing chore.
Nobody has a 2" phone. You apparently have no concept of size. And the answer to "Really who wants to" is SHITLOADS of people. A lot of the discussion above your post is about how people play TPA on the go.
With all of this hullabaloo I thought "Man, I should go buy all these WMS games before they're not available anymore! Because, they're not going to be available anymore! OH NO". So I loaded up TPA on my ipad and played a few different trial games and then thought "Oh yeah, *that's* why I didn't buy them in the first place, nevermind".
