Quoted from Flake:

As a mac user who doesn't want to run VP in parallels or boot camp, Pinball Arcade on the ipad works well enough for me. My 0.02$ is that hopefully this means we'll see another good game soon.

Perhaps you could do as I do, dual boot. I use my wife's old macbook aluminum (2008 - upgraded to 8 GB ram with dual SSD - blazes, runs faster than my brand new work laptop) with Win 7 bootcamped. It's great because I like the mac trackpad way better than any windows laptop. As for TPA, it isn't perfect by a stretch and they've had problems. Lucky for me I haven't wanted to do this on xbox or ps3. It doesn't make sense to me unless I can play it portrait. I do wish they'd get a cabinet mode worked out though.

Quoted from pezpunk:

i was going to make a "...and stop calling me Shirley" joke, but it doesn't work if you're actually calling me Shirley.

surely you must be joking. Kickstarter, what is it?

I play it on my arcade from time to time so to suggest it is only iPad is faulty. I wouldn't do the console thing but it is set up like a sort of virtual pin on my arcade so it works enough for me and the tables look great.

As for how much you 'pay' for a table through kickstarter, kickstarters are to get things going, which is a setup cost separate from the eventual retail of the game. Likely thing is that for each licensed table they'd have to sell way more copies than they know they'll ever sell to recoup the license costs in addition to development costs so they do a kickstarter. If you don't like the idea, don't pledge/fund it. Vote with your wallet.

I wish they'd do a real cabinet mode and who knows, perhaps some day but it clearly isn't where their money will be best spent right now.
