Funny you can get Blantons everywhere in Australia, the basic goes for about 40-43 USD

I envy you guys, our cheapest bourbon costs
$33 AUD about 23 USD and its only 37% which in th USA can't be sold as bourbon, but can in Australia. Also our range would be 10-15% of what you have.

However we do have a massive range for premixed bourbon and coke/ginger ale etc. This is one store there are more options at other outlets.

Quoted from PinDeLaPin:Australia was always some place I wanted to go or at least I thought I did. But finding out about sky-high pinball machines and now fake bourbon I think I'm going to have to cancel that trip all together now. Get out of that prison my friend it sounds horrible!

It's not all bad... most of the expense is tax a 700ml bottle @ 40% is approx $23 AUD tax!!

Prices in AUD so multiply it by 0.7 and there is the USD price. Not too bad...

These prices ok for Blantons? These are AUD so multiply by 0.69.

I actually really like Dickel. I'm not alone either. Taste is subjective.

In any case in my own personal opinion I cant justify spending more than say $80 on a drinking whisky, bourbon etc.

Sucking down this beauty smooth, but with a nice burn and strong vanilla and toffee flavour. Recommend buying it.

Its available at duty free stores in Oz and pretty sure in the States as well.

I think it is also available at the distillery. Seriously nice with a nice kick.

Welcome to the poor mans bar, got a couple decent bottles which I prefer to keep and not drink. I like collecting stuff. Drinking booze is in the kitchen.

My real diamond is Jim Beam choice which I loved but cant get anymore...

Decades was a gift for my 40th

Funny story my dad got a bottle of Kentucky Gentleman somewhere in his travels, like 30 years ago. This is obviously before the internet and we all thought it was some super rare expensive whisky. It was hidden so not to be opened...

It is now in my bar...never to be opened...

On a serious note I will have to treasure my travel exclusives as my friend who would get these travelling for his job is obviously grounded from the virus

We get decent stuff down here but it is crazy expensive due to taxes and our dollar being so low. Also our cheaper 'bourbon' is 37%

In a few years when kids are older and we visit the USA definitely doing the bourbon trail.
