    Does ice count?

Normally I would emphatically say yes, but unless this day gets much better I'm going to say hell no

Holy shit I just noticed I’ve posted in this thread 456 times! Who’s got the most posts here? Could it be me?

Just for shits and giggles I decided to see how many times I commented and blew me away with 881 posts of my own. Apparently I need to social distance myself from my phone and this thread

Yeah that son-of-a-bitch would have sat right where you saw it. No way I would ever drop that kind of money on a bottle and especially if I wanted to stay married. I sure would like to have a glass full of it though to try

If you like sour mash you are gonna like this one, I personally think it is great. It's not always available around here, but when it is it's under $45 and I buy one when I see it.

Well gentlemen, after taking last night off to recover whatever the hell I did to myself on Thursday, I am back with a vengeance. This will be the last pour from this bottle for a while. I bought it with the intention of sharing it with friends that don't normally have the means to buy/drink stuff like this. Not sure when that day will come, but it will be a banger when it does. I've got plenty of other stuff to drink in the meantime, but this one was calling to me tonight so this is how I'm kicking off my evening.

Welcome to the poor mans bar, got a couple decent bottles which I prefer to keep and not drink. I like collecting stuff. Drinking booze is in the kitchen.

Poor mans my ass, I see that Wild Turkey Decades you have stashed up there haha. Open that bottle up and you’ll feel like a million bucks.

    #4489 4 years ago

My real diamond is Jim Beam choice which I loved but cant get anymore...

Decades was a gift for my 40th

Funny story my dad got a bottle of Kentucky Gentleman somewhere in his travels, like 30 years ago. This is obviously before the internet and we all thought it was some super rare expensive whisky. It was hidden so not to be opened...

It is now in my bar...never to be opened...

On a serious note I will have to treasure my travel exclusives as my friend who would get these travelling for his job is obviously grounded from the virus

It looks like there is a bottle of JD Sinatra Select up there as well, definitely not a poor man's bottle! Welcome to the party @pinpatch, all whiskey lovers are welcome here.

    #4491 4 years ago

We get decent stuff down here but it is crazy expensive due to taxes and our dollar being so low. Also our cheaper 'bourbon' is 37%

In a few years when kids are older and we visit the USA definitely doing the bourbon trail.

Sorry guys my ass was in recovery mode yesterday. I was in no condition to drink anything alcohol related and my ass was in bed at 9. Good news is I awoke feeling like a new man so somebody set one up today.

Anyone know of any secondary market groups where a guy could find some reasonable prices (still secondary obv).

I used to check out the various Fbook groups and bottlespot when I felt like splurging. Those have all been shut down.

Please PM if anyone knows of any, as best not to list them publicly.

I am specifically wanting to find Old Fitz and try it out.
