Sorry just got here. Maybe tomorrow night? I use Zoom all day at work and am pretty sick of it honestly haha. I suppose hanging out with you guys drinking whiskey may be a different story though.

This is probably my favorite whiskey discussion group, and one of my favorite threads on this site. Everyone here has really good taste, there isn't a bunch of dick waving over who has the best "collection" of bottles, people here actually open up and drink their good bottles, and there has been none of the other BS that leaks into a lot of forum topics.
Had a good time on virtual happy hour. Sorry I had to go out for wings but I think I love wings as much as I love bourbon

Agreed 100%. This is one of the few threads where I can come in and not roll my eyes at the forum turning into Facebook. This thread and the Vinyl thread are my escapes. No politics, no Stern vs JJP blah blah... Also part of a ton of Facebook bourbon groups and it’s ridiculous how catty those can become.

Sounds like I missed a good time. Had family game night with folks all over the place tonight. I am up for tomorrow night 7 or after if anybody is up. Between my fiesta of destruction tomorrow during the day, WrestleMania tomorrow night, and pinball, I will be looking to have some tasty beverages.

I went to bed at 2am. Woke up at 6 with a headache. Can't go back to sleep. Tonight I will limit myself to 5 drinks.

Now that I got the dock in, it is time to clean up the shoreline. The previous home owners made questionable decisions in their landscape choices. They cut down tress but left stumps, put yuccas and shrubs around without rhyme or reason, and even used bricks as rip rap. All of it is going today. I just counted that I have 10 stumps, 8 bushes, 2 6x6s, and 3 logs that I am going to cut up and haul out today. Going to be hard due to the terrain but oh so worth it. Chainsaws are ready, stump puller that I made is ready, and I just got my ax sharpened. It is going to be a good day!
Look forward to some good bourbon tonight!

Do not drink the smoke wagon you will wake up feeling like crap. Since I've already been affected by it go ahead and send me that bottle to save yourself the misery and I will dispose of it properly for you.

You have some very nice bottles in your collection. Have you cracked open that 4 grain Colonel Taylor yet? I have searched high and low and multiple States for that bottle and also for the barrel proof and I have yet to come across either one of them.

The four grain is still unopened,have you seen what people are asking for those? I have a firm open date for a few of the unicorns,the four grain,not yet.
A major chain by me has the Smokewagon,they just got it in,it didn’t even have a price sku yet.We checked the price and put it in the basket.
Got to try EHT Amaranth recently,WOW.. wish I could find that.

I am a big fan of the Taylor line I really enjoy the single barrel I have never once seen the barrel proof or the four grain and definitely not the amaranth in the wild anywhere. But those are definitely at the top of my list of bottles that I am trying to find and add to my collection

Same place I had the Amaranth had the barrel proof,it was excellent. Old Fitzgerald 15 is getting opened in 5 days.
