    What’s your price max?

    #3403 4 years ago

I’ve just heard good things but never tried it so I wouldn’t pay over $60 not knowing

Well come out with it... what was the verdict?

Awesome! Absolutely love the mash bill and you can’t go wrong either way, but the barrel proof is on another level!! It’s exactly what bourbon should taste like

Got to have my trusty garage cup when i'm working out in the garage and of course it's got to be filled with a good bourbon

I've got a bottle of SiB EHT I drastically overpaid on (I got it confused with the Barrel Proof price point) I haven't cracked it yet. The SmB EHT is pretty great at the price point of $40ish.

Nice Yankee Candle poking out in the background too

    #3415 4 years ago

New to this thread... that is one lucky 5 cent cup!

Had an accident once with a glass breaking in the garage and I thought I got it all cleaned up until I ended up with a chunk of glass in my foot. Now whenever i'm farting around out there it is strictly plastic cups anymore after that.

Mail call! I drunkenly bought this last Friday night. At least I only paid retail but it’s a bad feeling when you wake up to a guy sending you a message with his Venmo account info haha. Damn booze.

I know you guys are gonna be beating each other up to get your hands on one of these. The age statement in right corner literally had me laughing out loud No I did not actually buy this just couldn't believe it was real.

Lol...The folks over at Pabst have a sense of humor.

Now my real question would be, do they technically have to "age" it for the stated amount of time?

It's not like this is Straight Bourbon Whiskey (minimum 3 year age requirement), but I believe if any age is stated, it HAS to actually be aged for that amount of time minimally; so considering this is essentially "white dog" right off the still, is the output stream being directed into a barrel with a spigot on the top that drains down to the main vats for bottling? I would figure it would spend about 5 seconds in the barrel prior to draining out that way...

    Too funny.

I almost bought a bottle just to put on a shelf as a conversation piece it was $23.

Hahahaha! I’ll give it a try...shot of PBR with a PBR chaser!

Is anyone else having this problem besides me? These bottles no matter what brand seem to have a leak in them.

Stopped in a store that was blowing this out for $33 to make room for the new single barrel version of Baker's, pretty decent value at that price.

That's a good price on that Baker's if I was you I'd go back and buy a couple more bottles because you know the stuff that's replacing it is probably going to go up five or ten dollars more

So I just picked up a couple a bottles I've been waiting for this larceny Barrel proof to come out for a while now and since my other bottle of Taylor Single Barrel sprung a leak I had to replenish it with a new one. Hopefully these bottles aren't defective also

Just went to pick up a bottle of Stagg Jr., and my shop said a group of cars followed the delivery truck store to store today and bought all the allocated bottles of bourbon. What the hell, don't people work anymore?

It has gotten so bad just like what you said everywhere. I now have 2 shop owners that do not put anything on the Shelf of high-dollar nature at all. They have to know you and then they will tell you what they have in stock and that's the only way you can get stuff. I call those people the bourbon whores that run around buying all the shit up

Don't get discouraged. Tons of good stuff out there that doesn't get the same level of buzz. Gotta stay one step ahead of the Bourbon Hipsters and focus on what tastes good to you and is in your price range.

    Just found this thread!
New to the bourbon scene, and can't say I love it, but my friends definitely do.
Here were my Christmas gifts for some friends this year.
Who knew that the easiest shopping is at the liquor store!?

Never had it but heard it’s quite good. Came a hair away from grabbing the rye but bought some 4 Roses and Russell’s Reserve store picks instead. Any thoughts?

    #3441 4 years ago

18 yo when I first heard them. 46 years later I finally got a pair. With the correct matching center.
Seemed an appropriate time to open a bottle half that age.
