Total wine had a tasting of 12yr Bib about a month ago. I thought it was just ok, nothing I would drop $120 on. I've never tried the regular one

Redbreast Irish Whiskey for me. Neat.

Tried a few bourbons, not my thing.

Of course, I wouldn't say no to some good vodka on the rocks with a twist either,,,

Al Young, of Four Roses fame, passed away yesterday on Christmas day; a true gentleman and legend in the bourbon world.

I'll raise a glass this evening. Rest easy sir.

Is that the four grains mashbill from Revival? I scored a bottle of their Jimmy Red bourbon last year when they bottled it to Le Creuset crockery, it was quite good for an immature bourbon.

Stopped just now to pick up a bottle of Stagg Jr for a fellow Pinsider and this was on the counter...

I only bought the JR. Price gouging!

    Owl was $370
    Pappy $500
    Stagg $750

Didn’t ask price on the Willet.

They did have 5 bottles of Blanton’s($90) and 5 bottles of Stagg JR($70)

Do you really want a bottle of George? Let me know your price point if so.

Ooffff. More than I have to spend.

I have been completely priced out of these ultra rare allocations.

    #2970 4 years ago

I have one person on the George Stagg wait list. If anyone else wants in let me know. Bottles slowly arrive, price point at 2 other locations is $350 and $400.

I would jump in at $350, if you wanted to ship and came by another.

Keep me posted and thanks in advance if it works out.

Are bourbons at Costco priced higher or Lower than the local liquor stores? The Costco’s in my area do not sell liquor.

About two or three months ago Sam's Club happened to have Eagle Rare for like $28.99 bottle when I was in there so it's kind of hit-or-miss on what they actually have but generally it's a few bucks a bottle cheaper at least in my area.

    #2974 4 years ago

Costco is the same, hit or miss, but usually about $2 or so less.

Don't know if it's by you or worth a damn but just google searched and said they had a nice selection of bourbon. Rego Park wine and liquor try that one.
