    So no bueno on 375’s?

Seems a bit pricey for small bottles. Just my opinion though.

I would buy it because Cask Strength MM is great, all the Private Select picks I’ve tried were all really good and Maker’s 46 is quite tasty too. For me, Makers gets exponentially better as it’s proofed up and all three are cask strength releases.

    #1854 4 years ago

Funny how everyone's taste is different. I didn't like 46 at all. Tasted like chewing on a 2x4 to me. The oak staves didn't do it for me. I like Smoke and spice.

Seems like a decent price if you wanted to try some of the better varieties from Maker's Mark

At our local Total Wine those 3 bottles in 750ml would run $157 so $70 represents a pretty decent Costco discount.
Also, no sales tax added in Delaware

Hey, it's almost 5:00. Couldn't wait to try the Old Dominick's. I'd heard good things.
I really like it! (Love the bottle)
And the master distiller is a lady. Sweet!

    Sorry @pindelapin, "very" small batch.

Nope.... rum is the pinball drink for me (sorry had to chime in on your bourbon parade)
    - Kirk and Sweeney 23 year
    - Don Pancho
    - The Kraken (with some ginger beer)

Fairview, NC? Ok, so The Hot Dog King is definitely boss there.
Rums are a better drink with the footlong.

    #1861 4 years ago
    Quoted from Fulltilt:

    I’d recommend you give one a try. I found it smooth with some woodsy tones. Like smokin’ some Pappy. (;
I’m not a regular cigar smoker so I’d be interested in what you think.
In fact, send me a PM and I’ll send ya one!
    [quoted image]

My second favorite topic is the cigar thread besides this one too, I have not seen that smoke out here yet. I will find bottle some day too.

Wow wow wow!!! Totally had a dog shit day today just about everything that could go wrong went wrong. Driving home I was trying to take my mind off of everything and just looking forward to relaxing on the deck with a drink. Walked inside to find a package on the counter with some amazing contents inside. @Fulltilt just turned my whole shit day to a positively wonderful evening! Don you are the freaking man. It's always amazing how the generosity of others can bring instant joy and overcome everything else like it never even happened. I had a buddy in memphis over the weekend scouring the local liquor stores searching high and low for this stuff to no evail. Can't say enough good things so I will just say thank you and Cheers!

Just can't get into the Irish or the Canadian whiskeys. Also have tried to make myself like scotch but it never worked out. This Highland Park is the only scotch that I can stand and the only bottle I own.

It is cool. When you first walk in it feels like you stepped back in time. Candle lit and everything. You can still smell the cigar smoke that has permeated the wood and walls.
    Pretty neat place

It's called the Century Bar. Have been there a bunch of times. Great vibe, good selection of bourbon, and really knowledgable staff. Highly recommended. https://www.centurybourbon.com

Has anybody ever been to Canon in Seattle? One of the top ten bars in the world. I had Pappy 23 there but they are known for their mixed drinks. Just check out the pics. http://www.canonseattle.com

Pretty crazy. You better have a nice salary to live in that town.

I dropped about 400 in a few hours. It only has a few tables but the food is great. There big thing is mixology. They smoke ice, infused drinks, everything. One of their signature drinks smokes in a Sherlock Holmes pipe. One drink they made me that was bourbon, Champaign, grape fruit, and a few others took about 10 mins to make with all the things they did. They said they had about 4,000 boozes in stock. Was definitely a blast.
