Quoted from Reality_Studio:I like Maker's Mark 46, it's around $27.
Makers 46 is one of my all time favs but here in PA its $39 a bottle. At $27 I would buy so much of it. Great stuff if you are a wheater fan.

Quoted from PinDeLaPin:Yeah I am glad I passed on it I had a feeling it was probably pretty crappy
I actually like it, not amazing but it's a good change of pace sometimes. However if you prefer cask strength stuff you probably will find it too mild. For the price there are definitely better options though.

Quoted from ypurchn:Fun ? Of the night. My low to mid $30s go to has been Eagle Rare or more recently Rowan’s Creek. What else does the group have to suggest? Been reading decent things about Jim Beam black
Comments?
For < $35? WT 101, Old Grandad 114, Buffalo Trace, and my Binny’s has been blowing out Maker’s Cask Strength for $35 for a couple months which is a steal.
Quoted from TKDalumni:How are these prices?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Those prices are horrible. Stagg jr is about $75 a bottle around here. Weller green label is $40. Call the cops man that place just tried to rob you!
Quoted from TKDalumni:How are these prices?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Laughable. Secondary pricing + 40-70%.

There’s a reason that place has a lot of untouchables sitting on the shelf. He’s gouging. But that is the basis of our free market system. Either someone will pay it or they won’t. The market will speak.
My guy that can get just about anything had 2 bottles of Stagg listed for $500 at Christmas. I laughed at him. 2 days later they were both sold.
I’ve overpaid some. I can go to a bar and drop $100 with my buddies drinking miller lites or I can drop $100 on a bottle of bourbon that’s normally $75. A little extra doesn’t break my balls.

Try again. That baby is hidden cause my neighbors mix it with Sprite.
Quoted from ypurchn:I almost forgot the pinball part of this forum.
A little game. Guess that bottle. Hint: <$50

Is it Smooth Ambler Contradiction?
Quoted from ypurchn:Try again. That baby is hidden cause my neighbors mix it with Sprite.
Hayden's or Jim Beam
Quoted from tjprice222:Eagle Rare
Quoted from bowz:That’s actually my guess also.
Quoted from Chisox:Oh for fuck sake.
Haha the level was just right on a freshly opened bottle to give the appearance of a label in the next to no light condition.or maybe the back label was stopping the light? Idk
Quoted from ypurchn:Try again. That baby is hidden cause my neighbors mix it with Sprite.
Shit... Eagle rare with Sprite.... not a fair quiz.
Quoted from Chisox:Looks like you’re doing some damage on that 1920 @fulltilt. Good stuff yes?
Good stuff Yes It Is.

Man, I have been wanting to try the Willett Rye. Another product I will never see in PA.

It is delicious! I found one of my favorite whiskeys during the tasting at their distillery it’s called Rowan’s Creek. So good
what's the going rate for Henry McKenna 10? found 8 bottles today at $44 that "felt" high I wasn't sure if it just went through a price increase.

It has gone up quite a bit since winning that gold medal in San Francisco but at $44 a bottle that's a good price glass bottle I seen around here was about 50 bucks a bottle and I haven't seen any in about a month

I went back and splurged on 2 bottles. Kinda regretting that after 2 drinks. It’s not horrible by any means but I’d take ER or Rowan’s Creek over it any day and save a few coins.
Anyone with a bottle of something wanna trade?

That definitely looks like the Pinnacle of healthy living right there. And without a doubt that is definitely the Breakfast of Champions. LOL
I just saw this at one of the places I stop at and I've never seen it before but I am a big fan of the 1792 brand in general has anybody ever had this one or can recommend it? I have the regular and the single barrel and I really enjoy the barrel proof version as well so I'm sure I wouldn't be let down but here lately I bought a couple of real dogs and I hate nothing more than blowing 60 or 70 bucks on a bottle of piss.

But they have a heck of a lot of good stuff. It might be like the Italian market. You gotta' get in there are make an offer they can't refuse. (:

Cash on the glass!! I'm with u on that one. U can put whatever bullshit price you want on it but we all know these guys arent collectors they are salesman and at the end of the day they want cash. Make your best offer and let him decide how bad he wants to keep it.

The BIB is good. The Full Proof is better IMO. If you like the 1792 profile then I say go for it. I like the BIB more than the single barrel.

I was never to impressed with the single barrel either
I just want to go on record and say you are ALL a bad influence! Now I'm looking at $$$$ bottles of bourbon because of this thread! Really wanted a bottle of Pappy after my love of the show Justified Till I seen how dam much it cost!!! Is it Really that good, I mean Really??

Depending on which Pappy you're referring to.. Yes Really.. relatively speaking. (:
Quoted from New_England:Anyone have Weller or Blantons they would be willing to ship to Vermont?
Going to pintastic?
I’m hosting a Bourbon tasting for a MS Fundraiser in a few weeks. 5 bourbons paired with 5 courses of food.
Anyone have any suggestions for 2 bourbons? Need one to pair with a smoked Gouda Mac and cheese. Preferably one with a buttery finish to compliment the cheese. And one for pulled pork sliders.
Any thoughts?
Trying to stay away from the typical brands. I’ll be in KY this week and in 2 weeks. Need at least 3 bottles of the suggestion.

Serious and honest answer... NO not at all. Pappy is good but lots of other equally good stuff for 100 or often less.
Unless you have really worked on your taste buds then it is a waste at this point.
Quoted from Fulltilt:We ARE the liquor!
I am WAY late to this show. I think I'm up to Season 3. Not the best, but it is addictive and worth watching in small doses.
Quoted from SirScott:Picked these two up today. Anyone coming over to play Kill the Creek?

Geez dude I am already on my second pour of Elmer T Lee and halfway thru a bomber of 12% Willetized bourbon coffee stout!! However another time I can bring a bottle to open, for a chance to play those EM's seems like a fair deal to me.
Quoted from Grandnational007:Going to pintastic?
Sadly I will be unable to attend.
