    Quoted from djreddog:

Not sure. How can I tell? Too rich for me either way.

I checked. Based on the proof (116.9) it is 2019 which is not a great year.

If it were the 2018 or 2020, then I would have asked you to run back and get it for me

But honestly, I would rather find the 2020 OFBB if I am dumping $400 to rent some brown juice.

    #10752 3 years ago
    Quoted from Whysnow:

    what year is that GTS?
That seems like the only one in your pictures of 'value'
That is under typical secondary but double plus of retail ($149)
That would be the one worth buying IMHO if I was splurging

Agree with Hilton. Those prices are high to stupid high. Old Carter Single Barrel is like 220, the Knob releases were way too high (I paid maybe 110 for the Knob 25th) and everything else was wacky.

My pursuit in the deer woods a few weeks ago was a success. These are going well together.

Nice job! I came up empty rifle season but am still trying for bow season. We went out goose hunting sunday morning and bagged 2.

This was an archery deer the evening before our rifle season opened. Our waterfowl season is basically over and it wasn't the best year.

I am yet to find one of those. The store in particular is spectacular at store picks.

    Quoted from beergut666:

$600 in McConnell bucks incoming. That shelf will be cleared out, even with the secondary pricing.

I would hope that those getting a check and need it would put it to better use than buying tater bourbons. One can dream, right?

    Some bourbon cream CoK!

Does the CoK go into the Cream? Does the Cream go into the CoK? Does Cream come from CoK? How does this all work?

I've been working my normal work week during all of this, and I still qualify for the stimulus. First round went towards a newer car for my daughter, who is in college. $600 doesn't move the needle for me so I'll probably just send that her way as well. There are however people that will be getting a check that will instantly blow it on tater bottles, on gaming consoles, or a pair of "limited edition" shoes. I know this because I work with them, it's all they've been talking about.

    #10763 3 years ago

Trust me. Go for it. Well worth the price of entry.

Thanks for sharing that. I know a lot of people are out there hurting, so I hope that they put it to good use. From what I was reading, the median rent on a one bedroom apartment is $650, so this check will not cover rent for most folks.

Stopped to pick up some Wild Turkey 101 today and when I got to the checkout they had Buffalo Trace for $24 so I had to get some more. Last weekend I stopped by a local store and they wanted $38 for BT! So another BT night for me. Cheers all.

Retirement gift and Christmas gift from my employer just a few days ago. I like them both but the Woodford might be finished first.

I was supposed to get a potluck lunch too, but with things as they are this year, got the bourbon instead. Probably the only good thing I can blame on Covid.

Is that because you like the Woodford better? I tend to hoard my favorites and finish the others first, just wondering how other people do it.

Yeah that's typically what happens here. I drink the one I like best first and the others just sit there for a while. I might pick up some Makers for the holidays just in case.

    #10796 3 years ago

    Anyone had this Makers?

I'd pony up the extra $20 for that store pick next to it, or just grab a bottle of regular cask strength.

I've only seen the 8 year until just last week when I spotted a bottle of the 12yr at a shop for $379.

    #10800 3 years ago

I lashed out for Christmas/New Year and blew a few hundred bucks on these 2. I've had the bog standard Knob Creek before but not the 9 year old one and never really tried much rye before. Had a few of the pig last night and really enjoyed it saving the KC for New Years
BTW..it didn't make me play Maiden any better
