Why yes, yes it is! 9 PM EST. All are welcome. I will post a link closer to that time.
This year’s haul...entirely at retail, from some very loyal retailers.
Now this isn’t meant to be a brag, but this is about a third of what I usually expect to get at allocated release time. I usually expect a full horizontal of btac, sans er17 usually, and a full vertical of vw, sans a 23, but a couple extra orvw or lot b’s.
I’ve been at this a long time, long before the boom, and would take bottles off of retailers at their request because no one was buying $50/$75/$100/$150 bottles of bourbon and rye then, and they would just sit.
Fast forward to this year, and the stocks simply aren’t reaching the local wholesaler like in years past, and thusly, the retailers. I don’t know if it’s just the current extreme demand, or if BT is allocating more of the supply to different areas of the country, but the northeast received considerably less this year.
My contacts at the wholesaler have also stated management has steered a much larger percentage of these bottles to on-premise locations, which I guess does give more people an opportunity to try them, but further eats into availability for private individuals.
And just so people don’t think I hoard these to flip, I donate the majority to charity raffles, gift a bunch to friends and associates, and drink a few myself each year.
We shall see what the future holds.
Cheers all.

If you are looking to gift a bottle of George T Stagg look no further I would be more than happy to take one of those off of your hands.

Well, "at retail" puts it right at about $100. Seems like a fair price to me!

Definitely more fair than what I paid for it and probably you too Don
All 4 at $106.34 each out the door. So yes, suggested retail.
The Lot B and a Stagg or two will go to St. Jude’s and/or the local Shriner’s for their respective charity raffles in February.
I’ll keep a Stagg to drink and share.
I have a couple more spots I haven’t checked in yet, so who knows, but I’m not expecting anything.

I would be beyond ecstatic if a store owner would sell me anything at msrp let alone WLW or GTS. You must have a relative or something who owns a liquor store.

Good on you man. The money raised at auctions by some of these bottles is better than any pour, no matter how great. I hear the 2020 Stagg is fantastic, nice haul.

What are your thoughts on JP2? I’ve had mine for a few months now and we’re not bonding too well.

It is a work in progress! It is the most needed of a dialing in than any NIB I’ve experienced. It gets better at the 6.8-7.0 pitch and maybe even a slight adjustment to the flipper sag and lower flipper strength.
It is definitely a brutally difficult game for a mediocre player.
It’s definitely not my favorite pin LOL
Quoted from DBLM:Look forward to seeing everybody on the Zoom tomorrow night at 9!
I am zoomed for today just thinking about it, got confused thought it was today hahahaha
Quoted from Chisox:I like them brutal, that’s why Rick and Morty will be here in a few days (I hope). Speaking of brutal, grabbed one of these today. Digging the early SS Stern games. I timed 7 games of Meteor the other night and my average game lasted 93 seconds haha. Cheers!

Meteor is the pin that hooked me!
Continued bust for me this year on bourbon. I was hoping the ‘Vid would slow down the crazy but it’s only amplified it somehow.
My favorite store is in the ghetto about 5 minutes from where I grew up. Normally awesome bourbon at great price. Last year it served me very where for some Stagg Jr and Blantons. And even an (I’ll admit overpriced) bottle of GTS 2018
This year
COK - $250
Willet Rye - $150
HH BOB - $65
Angels envy - $75
Envy rye - $100
Etc
The list goes on at 2-3x markup. Sad day.

COK here is 140. Just bought 3 bottles of the 13 the other week if you need one.

Yeah prices are past the point of stupid.
Making “cough syrup” to wind down the evening. Woodinville is fine, but makes a good base for this. Brown sugar, bunch of honey, and a couple dashes of maple syrup. Nuke it for a min and stir to dissolve everything. Look forward to actually being sick to pound a few of these.

You ever add any bitters to any of these hot drinks? Might be tasty. Then again it might totally suck, I just like bitters and put it in almost every cocktail I make.

I haven’t but will try. I got few different Fee Bros bitters.

One thing about the classic Sterns. They didn't waste a playfield layout!
My old Magic.

Agreed! One thing I’ve noticed is they designed the games to have nonstop left to right action which we all know means danger! Danger! And they had the “one more game” impulse nailed. I would have pumped $50 into this game already. Stupid simple rules, stupid hard gameplay, and stupid fun! There’s good reason these games are getting tough to find.

It's so good! Michter's limited release stuff is year after year some of the best bottles you can get your hands on.

It really is fantastic. Probably in the top three pours of 2020 releases for me.

Agree. I was fortunate to grab a second bottle, so I'll be sipping on this stuff for a while.
I can't make it to the secret Santa zoom session tomorrow so I opened up mine today. And what a nice surprise it was, I was hoping to get something that's not readily available here and this definitely fits that description as I've never seen this before.
First impressions are super positive, nose has strong toffee and caramel flavors, taste is sweet but balanced with more toffee, a bit of cherry and dark chocolate and some spicy rye notes, the burn is smooth with a slight after kick and nice linger
Thank you secret santa, love it and learned a bit about the history of Texas as an added bonus!
