Hope you are on the mend, Scott!

Thanks. Not really sick as much as just feeling kinda "blah." Sort of like having COVID-lite.

So I ended up grabbing the Magnus Cigar Blend (FOMO I guess). It’s batch #27 which uses 12-20yr barrels, Armagnac Cask #8, 121.31 proof. I’ll break it open around Thanksgiving with family and, of course, a cigar.

Side note: When do you have to start admitting you have more Bourbon than you’ll probably drink?? *asking for a friend*

Maybe I just need to drive into DC and get a bottle from the distillery.

I can't find that bottle around here at all. Very jealous! I hear it is one of their best bottles. Grats!

It's a seasonal release. You can definitely find it around this area. My timing has just been off.

    #9559 3 years ago

Shoulda bought more of this when I was down in memphis last time.

Something special for tonight, just in case the world ends.

I've been hanging onto this one for a while now, last bottle I have from ~2007 when I was dating a girl from Kentucky. Pretty sure these were only ~$35 back then. The new stuff doesn't even compare.

Yep thie old stuff was so much better. Was very sad when I polished off this bottle. Thi boggest downfall of the EC18yr is that its only 90 proof.

I will dearly miss him! He once had Grand Champion on my JP butt He was happy to learn I recently Put his score down a notch.

Terry was a very nice guy and will be sorely missed. I only knew him through some PMs but hear from many who have said he was a great friend. My condolences to you Aaron and anyone else who called him a friend. Cheers.

I like how you adopted his avatar too.

Sorry to hear that Aaron. 2020 cannot end soon enough it has just been an awful year. Nobody can replace anyone but just know you have some other good friends here on this thread!

Thanks guys! You guys are great. Thanks for hanging in there with my weirdoness! Terry was blunt, honest and opinionated but it was only because he was filled with passion for things he believed in. He showed me nothing but love.

Even though my quarantine was done Wednesday, yesterday was the first day where I actually felt like myself again. I was doing stuff around the house and running errands all day today, felt great to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Best errand? Going to the bank to wire money for my Rick and Morty that’s ready for delivery!

Sweet, my Santa Package arrived. I wasn’t going to open it until the zoom, but there is damage as you can see on the bottom right side. Better check to see if it is okay!

Well, let's see that bottom shelfer! I just dug through all my bottles to see what bottom shelf stuff I have. We've had almost no house guests since march so there has been no need to restock the low end stuff. As it sits the lowest I've got here is a liter of Jim Beam Black. If you've got friends/family that like a whiskey Coke or whiskey 7 this is the perfect bottle, it's more flavorful, higher proof, and cheaper than Jack Daniels. Also, when I was digging I found a couple of bottles of Scotch that I have no recollection of where they came from.

Hell yeah, congrats on the Rick and Morty! That game will have you dying of laughter with the callouts, some of the best theme integration ever in my opinion.

Thanks man! I’m stoked. In all honesty, my bottom shelf “swill” is actually like OGD 114, some KC picks that I wasn’t crazy about and a few Wilderness Trail store picks that were fairly ungood. Not swill at all. I’m just salty because I have a bunch of new bottles I want to try, but why bother? I will never shit talk OGD 114 or WT 101 or 1792 full proof which are next.
