I've been meaning to try that one but for whatever reason I never pick it up when I see it.

It's worth picking up. I grabbed it cause someone on FB said it is a more attainable Elmer T Lee... Not sure that is true but it pushed me to finally but it

I think it tastes like a better Blanton’s. All three are the same BT mash bill .

It’s a good bourbon. I don’t know if I will replace it when I am done with it because it is not my flavor profile but it is good.

It's really that good. $300/bottle is pricey but show me a finer tequila.

I have never had it and while I will openly admit that I am not a fan of tequila the way you speak so highly of it I would definitely be open to try it, and it looks like Don is a very big fan of it as well. 2 good pallets here no way it can't be good.

Saturday's are the best. This is your sampling, so I will defer to you for date and time of when you would like to conduct it.

    #8478 2 days ago

I will be outta commission for this weekend but you guys can do it without me. I certainly don't want to hold up the tasting.

    I am fine with delaying.

Are we almost ready for the crab feast yet?

    #8481 2 days ago

Hilton asked me to share dispatches while he is on his journeys away from Pinside. Here you go:

“Out on expedition today as supplies have been dangerously low. Luck was in my favor as I stumbled upon the sample Bush. Should tide me over through the next days as I sip on my bounty.“

“Also came upon a small elven friend. He shared with me his small melons. Also. These cucumelons are fucking delicious “

So there you have it. I don’t know what he is doing, where he is doing it, or to whom, buy Godspeed Hilton!

Anytime! Harvest has not been great this year but they are pulling in bigger ones as the season has gone on.

    We've seen that game before.

Actually my wife suggested I do that! I was kind enough to refuse that notion.

    #8492 1 day ago

I actually picked whiskeys I like that aren’t given any prominent medals. One is a newer release that a lot have not had yet.

    Mystery Sample Time!

Got a mystery sample from an associate of mine. Very little nose. Sweet and spicy on the front of your tongue with a good, oily mouthfeel. Taste it again in the back of my mouth. Smooth, medium finish with little aftertaste. It tastes like a pretty high octane bourbon, say 115 or above. Trying to decide if it is a TN whiskey or KY Bourbon, but I get hints of both. Will have to ask what it is. Very, very good liquor. I could see in quantities this could make you wander in the yard. Any guesses?

Side note: I bought a Norlan rawk glass and really like it. Ways about 1.3 pounds and had chevrons in the bottom for catching cocktail ingredients. Don’t know if it makes me a better drinker but I like that it is heavy and gets and retains cold quickly. Little smaller capacity wise from some of my tumblers but very nice. They only had the black in stock, which I think looks cool. Their snifter glasses are supposed to be highly reviewed as an alternative to a glencairn.

Thanks for thr compliment. Here is the full slab for you. Island is 4 x 11, but we got lucky that they had a piece that was able to cover it with out being seamed. Sorry for the dirty dishes.
